We were up from Holywood for a football match against Desertmartin. Craic in the bar after and the food laid on was great. Everyone enjoyed themselves and great atmosphere��

My wife and I traveled to Ireland from the U.S. and one of our stops was Tobermore to see the town where my wife’s grandfather was born. We came upon Richardson’s and stopped for dinner and a pint. We were greeted immediately by Lyle and the rest of the evening in his fabulously refurbished bar was an amazing experience. The friendship and hospitality shown us by Lyle, Lyle Jr. and others was beyond description, even by Irish standards. They went out of their way to feed us, even though the kitchen was not yet operational, and to find local contacts for us who knew something of the Hopper family. We were there only for several hours but feel that we left with new friends in Ireland. A special thanks also to the gentleman, who’s name we are not sure of, that ran home to get us a copy of the new book of the moving stories of the Tobermore soldiers that served in World War I.
