Good Evening to all our lovely customers, Open reach are finally getting to us. Unfortunatly this means that the road from Weston to us is closed until the 10th of August. So the best diversion is Dane End Lane via Friends Green. If anyone has any trouble getting to us please do contact us and we will be happy to help. Although this is only till 4pm each day so this only affects you in the daytime. On a good note we will soon have fibre broadband which will be free to use when implimented. Thank you all for your understanding. See you soon 😘

first time for some years since I was last here for lunch , superb lunch I had not booked and the sat three of us without any problem and the food was second to none, and the steak and kidney Pudding was supereb

Yet again another wonderful and delicious meal. Highly recommended if is just for 2 people or for a large family meal. We have been twice now with a party of 20 and can't fault any of the service or food. Staff make you feel so welcome. Thanks again and can't wait for our next meal with you.

What a lovely friendly pub - we played there last week (Spangles Duo) and although there were only a few people there - everyone was super friendly and made us feel so at ease - thank you all and hope to see you again in the summer xx

Went here for valentines was absolutely lovely food was exceptional staff was great very friendly will definitely be returning

Went for New Year’s Day lunch and couldn’t fault it. Lovely ‘home cooked’ food with excellent and friendly service. Will definitely visit again when we’re down that way.

We went for Sunday Dinner, so booked in advance, the pub itself is in a lovely country location with plenty of parking.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the food was amazing, best roast dinner I have had in a restaurant. Perfectly cooked and well presented.

The large garden has a play area for kids and is also dog friendly with bowls of water and treets available.

Will definitely be going back.

Wanted to eat here a few weeks ago on a Monday but when checking website it's actually closed. Phoned on the of chance if getting a table on Sat night and although very busy they said we could go. Arrived and wasn't disappointed, very friendly staff both in bar and restaurant, couldn't do enough for us, food was great and setting was beautiful. Can't wait to go again x

The menu is varied(didn't see steak on there which is what I choose every time i go out. Very boring so my kids tell me.) so it made me choose something else and the food was really great and even though they were very busy we didn't have to wait long for the food to arrive. The cheeseboard also was pleasant as it came with a selection of cheeses. Around home sometimes you have to choose A cheese. Staff were polite and happy and nothing seemed too much trouble for them. Would strongly recommend and if you have children as the garden is lovely.

It's your typical country pub.very welcoming and friendly staff. Meals are great all home cooked and freshly made.would recommend it to other people. Has a very romantic surround about it nice music playing in the back ground and a very relaxing atmosphere .Thank you all for a great evening.xx

Delicious roast dinner with plenty of good gravy. Amazing choc orange cake for pudding ❤️Nice setting and pleasant staff.

Beautiful country pub with real fires. Food was excellent and good value. Staff were friendly and on it. Would highly recommend Sunday roast and sticky toffee pudding! Will definitely be returning x

A New Years Day lunch. We booked in advance as it can be a bit busy. The Rising Sun is an old traditional pub with open fire, cosy & big garden with benches & play area.



Our lunch was lovely, home-made pie with mash + veg, steak + ale pudding for my husband, rising sun burger & kids meal of a cheese burger. 4 clean plates as such a tasty lunch. Good sizes, good value & great service. Very friendly at the pub very helpful indeed.
