Not much beats new hair day

In 1942 16-year-old Beverly Bernstein was suspended from school for wearing trousers. So the next day, all these amazing classmates turned up in trousers too. The protest worked, with their principal deciding that although he disapproved of slacks on girls, “if the girls wear them, we won’t get excited about it.”
These teens are not only amazing, but also HOW AMAZING IS THEIR HAIR?!

We love it when friends book appointments at the same time! We also have some couples who do this, as well as mothers and daughters.

We've been shortlisted (top 5) in the Hair Magazine HAIR Awards for 'LONDON SALON' which is pretty awesome for a little independent salon!
We're up there with the bigger boys like Hob, Rush and Blue Tit.......eeeeek!
There's no voting I can ask anyone to do, we just have to wait and see. So we're celebrating now, as it's a great achievement either way.

We don't close for bank holidays so if you want to use the day off for some new hair....holla!

When another salon *cough* showed me very little interest during my consultation, I wandered over to Rockalily. There I met Charley, who sat me down and listened to my concerns about the condition of my hair and what it was I wanted, all while actually looking and feeling my hair. I booked my appointment there and then.



For some reason I get super nervous when my hair is bleached, but not here. I don't go anywhere else now. I've had my purple hair for a year and am trying to decide on what I want to do next, but will be coming back here for whatever it is...

The ladies at Rockalily are fabulous. Not only are they lovely and a lot of fun, they also take a lot of pride in their work. Huge thanks to Zoe particularly, who was so patient and persistent to get my hair to a place we were both happy with. What a � you are! I'll be back (if they'll have me, with my stubborn band of weird colour! �) Big love x

The salon itself is delightful, I'm always spotting new fun little decorations dotted about, the staff are the perfect mix of friendly and professional (I always feel welcome, but I don't feel like I have to make small talk for example), and of course I have always left completely satisfied with my cut, they know their stuff!



I've not always found it easy to relax at the hairdressers, but here it's hard not to. Hoping to book a colour appointment in the future, they are wizards with colour. Can't recommend them enough!

My first time at Rockalily today, but it certainly won’t be my last. Zoe was my colourist and she did the most amazing job! I cannot honestly remember the last time I came out of the hairdressers so happy. Beautiful colour, flawless blending & she fixed all the bad colouring I had done elsewhere prior to visiting. My hair is vibrant, smooth & this has opened the door to unconventional colours for me. I can’t wait to explore more with Rockalily!

Love this place - best salon in London for cut, colour and friendliness. Taylor mixed three colours to get the perfect shade for me and knew exactly what I was describing. Used to live beside the salon but now live the other side of London and I still travel an hour to go here because it's so good

I’ve dyed my own hair blonde for years and always wanted to have it professionally dyed pink - I had an idea in my head about what I wanted it to look like and my Colourist & Stylist Charley took what I wanted and made it better than I could have hoped for. The colour is perfect! I’ll be back in 6 weeks ;) would highly recommend!

It's taken me so long to find a salon in London where the stylists actually LISTEN and will do anything to help you achieve your hair dreams! So many times in the past I've left a salon not being happy with my hair, but never at Rockalily. I've been a regular for about two years now and although it's the other side of London for me, it's worth the journey. The girls are super friendly and always on hand to answer any questions and offer coffee and tea! xxx

I've had my hair cut at Rockalily a few times now and am definitely a fan (so much so that I travel from the other side of London for my appointments).



I started off with a sort of long pixie crop, which I've been growing out into a bob. I'd got quite frustrated with mainstream hairdressers - even if I took in photos of cool vintagey haircuts, I often felt I ended up with ageing 'princess Diana' cuts (like those were the only short cuts the hairdresser knew how to do). The girls at Rockalily get it - they understand shorter hairstyles and aren't afraid to tell you what will work. And they give good fringe!

I've been coming to see Charley for years now. She always understands what I want, is a wizard with bleach, and uses strengthening techniques to stop my hair from breaking.

If you're considering a hair transformation, or just want a killer cut, I'd really recommend the whole team at Rockalily. Charley has taken my hair from brown to icey blonde twice - which isn't something all hiardressers can do! :-)

I only had my hair cut here but it was on of the best cuts I've ever had. I immediately received a compliment about my hair by a stranger as I walked down the street to meet my mum! <3

I had a total hair disaster a few months ago when a "not to be named salon" totally destroyed my hair with the worst hair cut EVER! Basically they gave me a mullet! � ... not good for a retro loving gal. I had to wait to grow some of the mess out! Then I came to see Charley on the 18th... she was AMAZING! And not only put some shape back in my style... but styled it like the true Monroe diva I truly am!! Thanks rockalily! I � you x

I had a theamed wedding to attend and following discussions with Rockailly on the era we agreed on Victory Rolls. I enjoyed my time at Rockalily as everyone was friendly and the time went quickly. Unfortunately I was going to the wedding the next day and so would have to sleep with my hair in the Rolls and pinned up at the back.



My hair looked amazing leaving the hairdressers and they did such a good job ensuring that nothing was going to move. In the morning my hair looked as if I had just left the hairdressers. I was over the moon.



I had so many complements about my hair at the wedding. Infact it was in place for 3 days before I had to take the style out. I really would recommend them and will go there again to have my hair styled.

I get my hair done here every 8 weeks or so - topping up the colour and cut. My colour and cut have gradually changed but the one constant is the compliments I get every time on my hairstyle - including from random strangers! And that is something that had never happened from any of the other hairdressers I have used over the years. Its a tiny salon with an amazing team who provide a great service time after time

I dread going to the hairdressers as I have a hormone related type of alopecia and my hair is thinning.. I was met with kindness when enquiring and booking and tonight Zoë made me feel so comfortable and welcome.. even when I had a little cry! It was really refreshing to get realistic advice about my hair delivered with compassion and an excellent haircut working with what I’ve got and future proofed as I grow bits out. Thank you x

Had my hair coloured here by the lovely Darcy, had the most amazing time and came out with proper mermaid hair! It is the only salon I have ever been to where I felt totally relaxed and made to feel like what I was asking for was amazing 100% worth trying for rather than weird, unachievable or just plain stupid. Keep rocking ladies and I'll be back to see you soon!!!xxxxx

As someone who tends to flit between salons, I am making this place my hair home. It's fantastic. I couldn't be happier with the cut and colour I've had from Darcy, who's made my hair look fabulous for the first time in months. All the ladies here are lovely. You get an amazing hairdo, a good giggle, tea and biccies in one visit. What more do you want?

Absolutely amazing salon, Charley is an utter superstar! She managed to create the exact shade I imagined (even though I'm terrible at describing what I want), and gave me one of the best cuts I've ever had! I'm beyond delighted and wish I lived closer - though this is 100% a salon worth travelling for �
