We had our wedding reception at Roe Park on 29th July. The planning experience with the hotel was excellent - all staff involved attended to every question and query we had. We were guided through the whole process with ease. The day itself was extremely smooth, the service was flawless, the food was outstanding and the hotel looked beautiful. Everyone really enjoyed the day! We were in safe hands with every detail being carefully considered and so many guests commented on how brilliant the hotel was! Thank you so much for making our wedding day so special, Connor & Ruth.

User

We had our wedding reception at Roe Park Sat 7th July. What a day!

Every single thing about the hotel was perfect. The food was delicious, staff so helpful and everything ran smoothly.

Big thanks to Simone and Kim in the run up with all their help!

So glad we booked the Roe Park. Wish we could do it all again.

User

We had a fantastic time at the Roe Park this weekend celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary & my daughter Jessicas 3rd birthday! The staff were so helpful & accommodating - especially for Jessica who has Down Syndrome. They made the most delicious birthday cake for her which my kids loved!! The pool was great for the kids! Special mention to Ryan who was very helpful when my other daughter had a wee accident & hurt her foot.

Brilliant weekend At a lovely resort - definitely recommend!!

User

We got married in the Roe Park in the 12th August and the whole day was fantastic! The staff were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We were involved with both Samantha and Simone (wedding planners) who were fantastic especially at keeping me calm the night before as the wedding nerves were kicking in! The meal itself was fabulous and all of all guests were complementing us on the food and the hotel's staff, we would definitely recommend the Roe Park and it's services to anyone who is interested in having their wedding or reception there. Everything is well thought out and runs to plan. My husband and myself couldn't have asked for better!

We find it quit difficult getting away as our son can’t cope with change and being out of routine etc but Roe Park Hotel in Limavady now offer a room for Autism families. It was our 1st wedding anniversary and we booked it for 2 nights to give it a go. It has been one of our best adventures yet. My son had an absolute ball. The hotel itself has such a relaxed atmosphere and the staff are all trained in Autism. The staff were so friendly and were fantastic with my son. The room it’s self is massive and is well child proofed, if you have a runner like myself then this is just the room, it has a alarm on the door to sound us parents when door is open although you can turn it off if needed. It has locks on all windows and child locks on drawers/units. The phone is up high on the wall, soaps/shampoos etc in a lockable cupboard. The TVs has a screen guard over then to protect them which I found great as my son hits the tv when excited. The iron etc is out of sight in a pull out cupboard aswell as the tea/coffee facilities. To say the room was fantastic is a understatement. The hotel had loads of little touches like toys, sensory lighting, tent for the children, champagne for the adults . For breakfast and dinner you can have this in your room with no tray charge as the restaurant gets rather packed out and our children can’t deal with crowds. The swimming pool is brilliant and they have a disabled changing with a changing table suitable for an adult . The evening entertainment for children was excellent, Kate and her team make sure they get all the children involved no matter what their abilities are, my son is non verbal and she made sure she got him involved as much as the rest it was brilliant. This is a little video of the room (don’t mind my mangled camera lol).

Anyone looking a break away honestly give Roe Park a visit it was fantastic. We booked the Autism Suite (room 40).

We ate in the coach house yesterday evening as a hen party, the service and the food was excellent! I still can’t get over how good the mushrooms are and there was so many of them! Can not wait to eat here again would definitely recommend it!

User

Stayed on Sunday night with my friend first time here and definitely will be back food service staff all lovely rooms very clean also had spa treatment girls where lovely and so was treatment only down side was when staying in the hotel and using spa it would be nice to have robes in bedroom and get ready in bedroom and go to Spa rather than have to change in spa changing rooms I know that the spa is not directly attached to Spa that you can walk through without having to go outside this is probably because I've Been to other spa hotels and was able till do that but like I said everything definitely 5* and can't wait till I go back

User

Stayed here for my birthday and it was fantastic, will definitely be back again soon. Friendly staff and lovely food. Very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend this place for young people, older ones and the inbetweeeners!

My husband and I would like to thank the staff at the Roe Park Resort for a wonderful wedding reception on Saturday 14th July. Special thanks to Simone who coordinated with us throughout the planning and preparation stages, and to Brian who kept things moving during the drinks reception and dinner service. Your professionalism and attention to detail was very impressive. I would thoroughly recommend the Roe Park. We loved our day! Thank you.

My husband and I had our wedding here on 6th July 2018 and the service was simply outstanding. They took care of every little detail which allowed us to relax and enjoy our special day. A special mention to Simone, our wedding coordinator, who continuously supported and guided us throughout our wedding journey. The staff were friendly, helpful and service was second to none. I would highly recommend this fantastic hotel for any event/trip.

Just back from a short stay with my wife and 8 year old son, Jack. Jack has Autism and all the staff , bar none , were fabulous with him. Everyone went out if their way to talk to him and make him feel happy. Nothing was a bother and Jack had a wonderful time. Thank you Roe Park and all the staff !!!

User

First time visitor with my friends staying one night for dinner, B&B last night. Hotel is lovely. We arrived earlier than check in time but as they had rooms ready we were able to settle in earlier than expected. Rooms were well decorated, very comfortable and had everything we needed.

The pool area was clean but only complaint we had was that the lockers in the changing rooms were awkward to use and the jacuzzi was quite cool.

Dinner in the Coach House was fabulous and the waiter who served us was very pleasant and helpful. Lovely atmosphere in the restaurant and in the hotel bar too.

Breakfast was beautiful too and there was a great selection of cold and cooked foods.

We had a lovely time at the Roe and I’d definitely hope to be back very soon. 😊

Currently staying at this hotel for our sons 19th birthday. We have been coming here each year from his 7th birthday (at his request) and never fail to be impressed. We arrived yesterday to a lovely birthday card and gift in the room for thomas. From the amazingly friendly reception staff, the breakfast staff, the cleaning team and anyone who works here...no one passes you without a smile or a hello. The atmosphere here is perfect and the food second to none.. highly recommended family friendly hotel that you too will find you will come back to time after time x

Absolutely lovely hotel. My husband had booked us in for an overnight stay 12/2/18 with my daughter for her 21st birthday. Check in was dead on, told girl at reception i had a birthday cake for my daughter for after dinner. Got room number & room was fantastic, dinner was booked at reception. Went to spa area where we enjoyed the jacuzzi, swimming, steam & sauna room. 8pm for dinner, got shown to our table and ordered our food, it was lovely, only criticism the fish (in batter) was slightly overcooked. We headed to the bar after and couldn't believe the amount of children running about, all these little people had taken over the bar and reception area, so we headed to our room to chill. Had a great nights sleep and went for breakfast. Wonderful selection of food on offer. Staff very nice and made a point of telling us about the breakfast. We both had a lovely breakfast and again staff very attentive in clearing plates etc. Check out was once again dead on. Overall we both had a fabulous stay and really looking forward to going again for a bit longer next time maybe not half-term mind you

User

Loved it.... booked last minute due to horrible few days and unable to get away on a holiday... lovely room & hotel and nice bar staff chatting away even thou they were busy with a wedding... the grounds & views were lovely and the hotel gave us a lovely gesture for our 1st anniversary with bottle and a card in the room fab touch.... hotel spotless and great breakfast the reason for 4 star is only that didn’t try the restaurant we walked into town so will try that next time and that I did get wakened quite early with the golfers laughing sounded like they were right outside window so I would request different room next.... but minor detail will be back.

My son and I joined my mother for a 1 night stay this week. We were charged £104 for the dine and stay package which was reasonable as it included the kids entertainment which was really good and the entertainer was brilliant. The hotel is getting a bit dated now but everything works and is clean. Rooms were very spacious and also clean. We had no idea what was included in the dine part of the stay as there was no explanation of this when we checked in. The food and service in the Coach House was ok and the £25 allowance was adequate. The hotel reception area after 8 was manic with wedding guests everywhere and the pool was really busy during the day which is to be expected as there was a lot of families. The leisure centre is holding up well as I have been coming here for over 15 years and nothing much has changed. My only complaint was the sub standard breakfast which was mainly due to the hot breakfast being below average of a lot of other hotels that I have been too in Ireland both North and South. Overall I would still recommend this resort as kids love the pool and the kids entertainment was very good and meant you can have a bit of time to have a pint and relax for 2 hours.

User

I had a meal in the coach house and it was not up to standard at all. My husbands side didn’t come and had to be asked for, which meant he had eaten a large part of his meal before it eventually came. I had the battered cod and it was FULL of grease. The plate was yellow with it. I used a napkin to soak this up hoping it would be ok. However this was not the case. I ended up having to eat the fish out of the batter. I managed eating some of it normally but it was turning me. Also both end were completely batter and no fish for quite a portion of it. The price went up from the last time (and yet the fish then was amazing!!!!!!). I don’t know what they have done but it went down hill quickly. I mentioned this after the meal to be told I should have said at the start, sorry. I left feeling hungry and very dissatisfied. An establishment like this should not treat unhappy customers like this. Maybe I wasn’t old enough or fancy enough looking to be treated properly. Very disappointed! This was my first bad experience and i was so upset the way I was treated I will not be in a hurry to go back, if at all.

SMALL PARTIES BEWARE!!

The customer focus in the hotel is with the larger parties and weddings.

The reception area was taken over in the afternoons with the wedding receptions with nowhere for the other hotel guests to sit.

They do have a Residents Bar, but this is the furthest area away from the bar and entertainment not to mention on a different level.

Once the reception area cleared, I asked the supervisor if it would be possible to have someone clean a table so we could use it, we had been sitting at a small dirty table for 10 minutes but there was no staff around to sort

out the ten or so deserted tables.

I was told that the wedding party had just left as if this was the only explanation I needed. I explained that we were also paying guests but the supervisor simply ignored me and walked away.

We had a similar experience in the restaurant that evening playing second fiddle to a bigger group and got the message that we simply weren't a large enough party to be important enough to get a decent standard of service.

What a shame as we had looked forward to a family weekend away but as we have since heard similar stories from friends & colleagues, we know it wasn't just us.

We defiantly won't be giving them out business again!!
