Cakes and macarons from a delightful family celebration for an 80th birthday this weekend. The vanilla birthday cake had a surprise pink ombre interior!

A dessert table for a pretty summer wedding at the lovely Iford Hall - Weddings, one of my favourite venues. Cakes, meringues and macarons including gluten free and vegan options, as well as iced biscuit wedding favours.

Another beautifully hot and sunny wedding last weekend at the gorgeous Yew Tree Lakes Trout Fishery near Rotherfield. This is the three tier semi naked wedding cake the bride and groom chose to serve for dessert with their evening meal- Victoria Sponge, Red Velvet and Raspberry and Dark Chocolate.

Cake table, wedding cake and a pastel coloured naked cake for a 9 year old- all from one very hot and sunny afternoon last weekend.

Two very different birthday cakes! The naked cake, seen at the fabulous Presuming Ed Coffeehouse in Brighton, is Gooseberry and Elderflower, great flavours for a summer celebration!

The first wedding of our 2018 season and a beautiful day it was too, at the Georgian Riding School Firle Place, and managed by the lovely people from Blue Door Barns.

Some more baking to bring us more or less up to date! I've not taken photos of every event that we do, but its fun to look back over a few highlights as we look forward to the new wedding season, and working with more wonderful clients.

Biscuits for a client's son's birthday last October.

September 2017, a cake table for a Vintage Tea near Uckfield and some lacey gold wedding favour biscuits, featuring olive trees and destined for a reception in Italy! (The fabulous 'family' wedding cake and topper at the centre of the table was made by a friend of the brides).

From August last year, a selection of Sussex canapes, and a beautiful wedding at Lewes Castle. The sun always seems to shine for Rosehip weddings! Our vintage china and summery Hog Roast buffet suit the weather and the gorgeous venue perfectly.

Summer is finally here so I thought just before our busiest period kicks in with weddings, cakes and celebrations I would post some photos from last year's fabulous events, starting with a cupcake order and a Ploughman's picnic feast for a wedding in June.

Its been a very busy summer here at Rosehip and I've got lots of great photos to share, starting with pictures from two beautiful weddings last weekend- a dessert table in a stunning marquee in the grounds at Firle Place, and a four tier naked wedding cake for a riverside wedding at the Anchor Inn, Barcombe.

Did you know the collective noun for lots of crabs is a cast?! Here's a 'cast of crabs' delivered this morning to the brilliant Brighton SEA LIFE Centre for a special event celebrating the launch of their new crustaceans exhibit!

I hope you all had a lovely Easter weekend- here's a Lemon and Poppyseed Bundt Cake we had for our Easter tea- with added chocolate of course, it wouldn't be Easter without!

Spring baking- Chocolate Fudge Cake decorated with primroses from the garden, and a gluten free Blood Orange and Polenta Loaf.

We got married in Italy at a beautiful vineyard & olive grove, and Emily ensured that the theme ran through the 5 different styles that she created for us- from our initials with lace, to olive trees, branches, & adorable bunches of grapes.
