**CAT FOUND 🐱**
Young female cat found in Newton Mearns. She does not wear a collar and is not microchipped. Do you know who she belongs to? She is under the care of Rouken Glen Vets. Please share!!

Look at this very chilled, and very beautiful pair that were in at the weekend to see Dermot 🐱 They are not long back from a two week camping trip with their owners and have taken it all in their stride πŸ•

In this hot weather it’s not only our dogs and cats we need to keep a close eye on 🐰 https://www.pdsa.org.uk/…/looking…/ra bbits/rabbit-heatstroke

Another gorgeous day 🌞🌞
Please remember that your pets paws can be just as sensitive as our feet. This means they're equally as likely to get burnt walking on a hot surface as we are.
Please avoid walking dogs in this heat, early morning and late evening are best during this hot weather

**MISSING CAT 🐈 *** Have you seen this cat? Missing from the Troon area since 15/7/19. Please keep a look out, it’s amazing how far some cats can travel.

Have you heard of the Yellow Dog Project? Do you have a fearful dog? Keep a look out for the yellow ribbon on dogs you see in the park or out on a walk. Is it appropriate to let your child approach this dog? Should you prevent your very friendly, playful dog from trying to approach and sniff the other dog? Please keep this in mind. πŸ•πŸ’›πŸ©

We love to seeing all the family involved with puppy training 🐢

Off on a family holiday this year and feeling guilty that your furry member of the family has been left at home?? 🏠 ✈️ If so, plan ahead for your next trip away and have a chat with one of our staff regarding a pet passport for travel. We can advise you of the process required and the time scale needed before travel is possible.

Poor Otis cut his pad on glass when out for his walk on Friday. His owner brought him to the surgery straight away where he required a sedation to have the wound cleaned and sutured. As a bouncy Labrador he is not happy to be wearing a bandage and that he is having to have strict rest! Please make sure that you pick up all rubbish if you are out in the parks etc in the nice weather having picnics. Even the smallest bit of rubbish can cause a lot of damage to our pets and wildlife #roukenglenvets #dogsofinstagram #cutpaw #rubbishcausesinjuries #pickupyourtrash #labrador @ Rouken Glen Vets

Are your dogs restrained when travelling in the car?
Did you know you could be breaking the law ?
Whether it’s for a trip to see us or a visit to the beach, most owners will take their dog in the car at some stage. It almost goes without saying, however, that cars can be dangerous for dogs if care and common sense are not applied.

Another scorcher today β˜€οΈ

I know we have posted this link and similar on several occasions but we cannot express enough how important it is to keep your pets cool in this hot weather. β˜€οΈ Many are like ourselves and love to bask in the sunshine but we need to be sensible and ensure that they stay in the shade as much as possible! Enjoy the lovely weather while it lasts but stay safe!
