We visited the hospital yesterday to the vascular services department to see Tara Mastracci and her team. We were so impressed by their dedicated, caring and compassionate attitute towards patients and their circumstances. You can tell how much they love their work and want to make every effort to ensure patients receive the best care and treatment. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for making my Dad feel so much at ease.

We had a long hot day of scans and tests, followed by a heart catheter op. This was all done in the day, with no major fuss. We had a 4 hr wait for the surgical procedure, but we understand that issues arise during a working hospital day. Saying this though, it would of been good to explain to the waiting patients, that a delay will be happening, because silence is torture.

Surgery was excellent and we made it home before 10.00 pm, totally exhausted.

My one grumble is the parking payments. We were there from 8.30 to 6.30 and the delays cost us more money. Would there not be a system where this can be accounted for, as this is out of our hands. This is taking into account 4 hrs disabled parking for free as well.

I'm happy to pay more if needs be, as every penny we pay cannot repay what we take out, but the parking is private, so we need a system for the patient who has to wait in the hospital system and gets clobbered on the way out by privateers. Feels like being mugged on the way home.

Thank you for everything.

Was in Cardiac ward, Ten West. The staff were amazing! I have always had a fear of hospitals and was rushed in on Tuesday. I felt in safe hands 100% of the time, was treated with respect from all staff. Doctors and nurses were professional but friendly and were happy to explain things in lay man terms. Thank you to all staff on Ten Wesr, I have the utmost respect for all of you!

This wonderful hospital saved my life on more than one occasion. I had my liver transplant in March 2014 many complications and in Icu a lot of the time. Staff are exceptional at all levels, I was in there a very long time. I visit regularly in outpatients, everyone so lovely, kind, physios Ots nurses doctors porters just all of them. It annoys me to hear patients moaning over silly things, long waits, needing to have a bitch at overworked staff, try spending a year in bed with nurses attending to every need, no breaks at times, I've seen how hard staff work at this fantastic hospital. Yes waits can be long, appointments can run late, but the end of the day I think it's an honour to be treated by this fantastic hospital, the best.

One of the best hospitals in the UK. Been a regular patient for over 13 years and the skill and professionalism of the staff have saved my life on many, many occasions. I have a very rare form of liver cancer and in 2004, after 2 years of GPs and doctors making mistakes, I was finally diagnosed due to the expertise of the staff at the RF.

My 5 year old was refered for a testicle pain. Within the hour they had checked him. Prepped him and had him waiting for surgery. Shock to our system as was expecting a scan not an opp. Turns out the opp was needed but not worse case scenario and I can't fault the staff. They were so good with him he didn't want to come home. Even the theatre staff had an amazing child friendly attitutude reassuring him thus reassuring us the whole time. They just knew the best things to keep him unaware of the nasty bits. He didn't even notice them putting a cannula in. AMAZING. Staff in these places are undervalued and abused but I don't have a bad word to say.

Well done royal 3. And chase farm out of hours care for referring us so quickly.

I would have been dead about 10 years ago. A condition my local hospital didn't have a clue about, I had to change GPs to get looked at and my then new new excellent GP refered me here straight away when I changed doctors.

His ability to do his job rather than nothing as my previous GP Vasudaven (now retired thankfully) had done for yeara got me my referal. The doctor at the Royal Free took literally 5 minutes to diagnose me. Something that had gone on for years. With the right treatment I went from having had DVT twice in both legs and brain clot to 10 years so far of being "fixed". The correct treatment they gave me after diagnoses took just a few days to show it was working.

I owe them at the Royal Free and my new local GP my life!

I was at the A&E Saturday after having an asthma attack earlier on that morning and was worried about pains in my heart.

I was seen within 20 mins by one of the nurses, Honor was a sweet and polite young lady. The doctors were thorough and I received an ECG and a fully consultation by the doctor regarding my asthma. Amazing hospital with exceptional staff.

User

I just want to say Thank you to the A & E staff of Wednesday night from 10 pm to 6 am ( Thursday) for attending to me as well as the paramedic who was very quick and looked after me, and called a taxi paid for by the NHS. It may be a long wait but I was cared for. The nurses who attended to me were caring and reassuring and honest with the info that there was a wait of 4 hours. It's time we say thank you and be grateful for the care that are given to us.

User

I had knee surgery here on Friday! I cannot fault my care, attention and first class treatment here. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff, from the anaesthetist Who played my favourite music while "putting me out", to the recovery staff who helped while I wasn't very well… ! To the staff who looked after me following my unexpected overnight stay. And of course my excellent surgeon. Thank you doesn't seem enough.

User

I cannot thank nurses, doctors and surgeons for their care and dedication and in very difficult times pulling me through that black hole. They are certainly some of the most caring and dedicated people I have ever meet. Without their skills I don't think I would be here today,so thanks once again you are all Angels

After being at NWP Hospital in Harrow many times waiting on average 6 to 10 hours in total mayhem!! The Royal Free was a walk in the park, from the moment I walked into A&E with pains in my chest on 1/9/17 the receptionist was the most polite young lady who took all my information & said I would be seen within 15mins by the triage nurse, which I was. I had blood tests, ECG, and chest x-ray all within the first hour of arriving, which is just amazing. Altogether I was there about 4hrs and was treated with kindness & respect. The doctor took time to explain what was wrong & totally put my mind at ease that I wasn't having a heart attack, and reassured me that the problem I have with my heart was not causing this pain I was feeling. I went home & had the best nights sleep I've had in 2months, since being told of my condition. So thank you to all the staff in A&E yesterday, for your caring attitude and prompt service I would totally recommend this hospital to my friends & family..

A fantastic hospital fantastic staff, well equipped they have always did there best to help and advice me and saved my life in 2015. Some of the best Doctor's in the world and nurses.

User

what an atrocious hospital. apart from it being full or inconsiderate nurses and admin staff that are rude and incapable of helping you. I had several ppl address me as mate and others kiss their teeth at me when I asked for them to check on how long more of have to wait.

having these ppl in such a affluent area of north London is a shame because I would not be coming back not even in an emergency.

finchley memorial, Whittington, uch all are better suited to look after and care for poorly patients.

User

We have been waiting in the A&E for the last two hours, in these uncomfortable seats.

There A&E reception area feels like a prison.

Whoever was the interior design needs his head kicked in. It is awful and makes you feel more sick.

The space is on usable environment, I feel claustrophobic in this area.

This could've been designed better!!

User

The royal free makes you more sick all the stuff is like a boss the maximum withing is five hours no qostion the royal free stuff talking white every one like ricest person oh god save me from the royal free hospital

My 97 year old grandad got refused transport because he has a mobility scooter that they expect him to use to get to the hospital ..... he lives in Wood Green and in this heat aswell is damn right disgusting my grandad has been treated for skin cancer for goodness sake plus he has asthma and his chest is quite bad aswell... disgraceful you should be ashamed of yourself!!!

User

I feel a little sad when I read the good reviews as I feel that my condition isn't improving despite visiting a specialist at the royal free for over two years and the specialist doesn't appear to work with other hospitals and practitioners for a duty of care for my health which I feel is deteriorating,
