We're excited to watch BBC Two Icons tonight, with Dermot O'Leary putting forward the case for four iconic explorers: Gertrude Bell, Ernest Shackleton, Jane Goodall, and Neil Armstrong. Who will you be voting for? 📺

Our Monday night lectures are back! Tonight we leave the UK winter behind and join Sara Wheeler as she recounts her six-month journey through Chile, from the Peruvian border to Chilean Antarctica. https://bit.ly/2F5zCkn

The venue is just up the road from Imperial College on Exhibition Road. The Royal Albert Hall is just round the corner as well.

The evening started with drinks and finger food. The Lecture was thoroughly enjoyable.

If there was ever a telescope made to know what great & some unknown explorers unearthed them to us, Royal Geographical Society should be given the credit for all that what is being followed today by any human being on the face of this Earth!!

Looking forward to a shared working relationship with team 'RGS'!!
