The RSM acquired the site on the corner of Wimpole Street and Henrietta Place in 1910. King George V and Queen Mary opened the final home of the Royal Society of Medicine at No. 1 Wimpole Street in May 1912.

Australian scientists from Edith Cowan University (ECU) have developed the world’s first blood test to detect melanoma in its early stages. Early trials of the test involving 209 people showed it was capable of picking up early stage melanoma in 81.5% of cases.

It's a beautiful and elegant place, the facilities are ideal for any meeting or conference. Professional and friendly staff, fantastic catering... It was great.
It was such a privilege and pleasure to speak at the RSM yesterday as part of the 15th Medical Innovations Summit. Some of the loyal staff have known me (and indeed my family) for many years and are incredibly welcoming and so dedicated to their roles.
The RSM is also housed in an architecturally stunning building which makes me feel light and refreshed as soon as I step inside - despite being in the heart of London. I adore the use of glass, natural light, white stone and space...traditional and modern elements perfectly combined.
All in all a great SUMMIT conference at a perfect venue with lovely staff and fascinating co-speakers and attendees.
It was great......Enjoyed every moment of the meeting. I was inspired by all the speakers.
I left my iPhone behind & someone honest handed it in. The staff were very helpful & the food at last night’s event was amazing!
Excellent venue, excellent stay over in a beautiful hotel room. Would recommend.
Delicious food in their restaurant. The set menu at lunchtime is especially impressive.
Been a member at the RSM for years ever since I did a couple of talks here great staff and an excellent venue for impromptu meetings in the centre of town .... don't tell everyone though 😄

A major reliable updating source of scientific &medical information , as an associate member I consider it to be a very important reference for the latest Nutrition and health data that becomes available .The website is so easy to navigate ,venue and club facilities contribute a lot to overall grand status of the Royal Society of Medicine
