Today was my first visit to rush and I had such an amazing experience, Kat has such an amazing attention to detail and always asks before she does anything. Will definitely be going back!

This is my second visit to Rush and both times I saw Lauren. I have always been nervous about hairdressers due to bad experiences in the past. I have say she is lovely and made me feel at ease and want to go back again. She is friendly and chatty and has cut my hair just how I wanted it.. I will be booking again in the new year for a cut and colour. Merry Christmas Lauren and the team at Rush x

I have been a client at Rush Basildon for over two years now, Steff rescued my hair from a horrific hair disaster back then, she is a miracle worker and gave me back the confidence I needed in myself and a hair stylist! The team are fantastic with my 8 year old daughter too and I have never had anything but exceptional service from them.

I get my daughters hair cut here, she's 3 years old. They are so good with her... would recommend for any age.

2nd time at rush. The staff are super friendly and really welcoming, lindor chocs and drinks throughout. I went with katie, who has already done my hair for my sister and shes amazing. Look after you and your hair. If i have to say anything "bad" at all it would be that because there so popular one stylist will see more than one client at a time, which is great for business, but it means that sometimes an appointment can take even longer than nessescary. My sister had her bottoms bleached and a haircut and we were there for over 3 and a half hours x but it wasnt bad at all because the environment is so chilled and the people are so nice. Will go again def x

Whilst I was pleased with my haircut, when coming to pay was told that I couldn't use the half price text as it was sent to my husbands phone was very disappointing! My husband has no hair and doesn't go to the hairdressers, I explained that I'd obviously given his number at some point as I can never remember mine...Id also mentioned when I booked that I'd had a half price text but it had not been noted on my appointment so the receptionist obviously didn't believe me! Awful after service and definitely doesn't encourage a revisit!

Went in to get my dried ends trimmed and some layers put back in as they had grown out after 15 months. Told the stylist this and explained I wanted the layers to give my hair some shape as it is all the same length and straight.

Got to the end of the cut when her next customer came in. I thought she'd start layering but didn't. When I explained I wanted layers put it she said she had. One layer cut an inch from the bottom! and said if she went any shorter I wouldn't be able to tie it up, considering my hair is 21 inches anyway!

I hate it when people talk you out of things. Doesn't look and different and will have to get it re-cut. What a waste of £48 just for a trim.

Unfortunately, I've got such a bad experience with Rush even before to get to the hairdresser's chair. I was told one total price on the day I made an appointment and another total price, muuuch higher on the day I went for a patch test. In case a price list exists. It's so embarrassing!

Not actually too happy about how my daughters hair has been done..

Asked for simple layers in her very long hair... but have this weird finish to the end of it ?! It doesn't look right.

I thought about just letting it go and not write a review but I'm really not happy with my visit. First of all, I booked an appointment online where you can choose who does your hair and I was willing to pay a little extra for someone with more experience but ended up having a call in the morning saying that the time I booked wasn't available and had to change to from 12 to 4:30(also did not get my hair done by the more experienced stylist, which no one cared to tell

Me about ). I was gonna ask some questions but the lady was in a hurry and hung up before I could ask any. I let it go thinking they were only busy. When I got there I was greeted and I showed my stylist pictures of how I wanted my hair, she said that it couldn't be done in one or even 2 goes when I knew for I fact that I could because my friends have had it done and I have had it done before in different places. But since I'm no expert I put my trust on her to do the best she could. She did not speak to me during the whole time of me getting my hair done.(3&1/2h) Except for "move your head down" etc. The other stylists around me was chatting to their clients and offering them magazines and drinks. But still thought that if she did a good job I could care less about that. I was getting a full head of highlights and a cut and Finnish. Now she was using a technique I have never seen before, It was sloppy and instead of going sic sac when parting the hair she just halved it and left half of the hair out when closing the foil. You could tell that she didn't want to be there and she did everything in a hurry. She was so rough when washing my hair and brushing it. I can take a lot of pain but even for me this was too rough. Now, I said that I didn't want the yellow tones so she added a toner in to the prize and even before she washed it out I knew that it was going to be bad but tried to give her the benefit of the doubt. After violently brushing my hair she dried it and it was white from the roots to the middle of the hair and a very visible line where it turned to yellow. She cut it very quickly without asking if I wanted more cut or if it looked alright, it was way shorter than I asked for and my bangs starts where my eyes are even though I specifically asked her to make them start under my chin.

I never ever complain because I feel bad doing it but I spent so much money and I felt that I was treated badly and it felt like she just wanted to go home. No passion at all. Maybe it was just a bad day but I will never go back. And now I have to spend even more money to get it fixed somewhere els. I can't tell if the other ladies where better but from what I saw they seemed really lovely. Hopefully they can make sure that this doesn't happen to anyone else :) there is a lot more that didn't go the way it should have, but I need to end it somewhere. (I waited 7 months to cut my hair because I was afraid for this to happen ..)

I have been going here for years and have been going to the same person Lauren for the last 3 years who is amazing at what she does and such a fab person. It' just really annoys me how the price differs every single time I go. I've paid £89 before for half head highlights , £75 for a t section on many occasions so today I pay £92 for a t section , how is this when I get the same job done all the time. Very annoying and made me now reluctantly leave and look for somewhere else to go as I don't think this is how you should treat your regulars.
