The nature of depression can discourage people from talking about their illness, cutting them off from help. However, we believe that no one should be left to face their depression alone.
That’s why SANE is launching a national advertising campaign to encourage people struggling to find their voice to call for help.
Your depression doesn't want you to talk. But we do. #LetMeTalk

I would be lost without Black Dog Tribe and the amazingly courageous people who have helped me accept mental illness. Thank you to Ruby Wax, Sane, and everyone who supports mental illness. I hope that this illness will be accepted by Government, Employers, Friends and most importantly Family. Family is the key to ensuring people are safe and not living with a mental illness, choosing to end their life alone. Having lost two friends recently to suicide, I feel helpless because the amazing people who chose to end their life were hiding a terrible secret, they had depression and could no longer cope. I hope to help other by telling my story, to ask for honesty, employer recognition and to hide away and establish your own clinic at home if it is what is best for you. If you can keep a plant alive for 12 months, you can have something more special in your life, an animal, helping you move forward, they do not judge you. I would not be here if it was not for one person, my best friends, who supports me regardless of my rages, crying, lack of interest, unipolar symptoms and the judgements from his family are now becoming acceptable within me as I am insane, crazy and also loved! Thank you Sane for helping everyone talk about how they feel.
