Our desire is to bring through our products the joy of nature. ... Melissa essential oil, also known as Lemon Balm, is a plant native to the Mediterranean Region. It is famous especially for it’s soothing, antidepressant powers and memory boosting effects along with some more other benefits: - Nervine: serves as a tonic for the nervous system, keeping it healthy, functioning properly and helping to avoid nervous disorders; - Good for calming inflammation, anxiety, nervousness etc; - Anti-bacterial; - Great for acne and sunburned skin; - Protection against UV radiation thanks to its two compounds, caffeic acid and ferulic acid, which have the ability to penetrate through the top layers into the the deeper cutaneous layers of the skin; - High in flavonoids with an antioxidant effect; - Astringent and antiviral effects; - Helps to reduce fine lines.
Another key ingredient is spearmint essential oil. Loaded with vitamins, antioxidants and vital nutrients. Despite having a very similar aroma to peppermint, spearmint does not contain as much menthol, but is rich in limonene, dihydrocarvone and cineol. The use of spearmint essential oil can provide the following benefits: - Because it has antiseptic properties it can protect wounds from infection and help them heal fast; - Has a relaxing and cooling effect on the nerves and muscles; - Help to relieve acne; - Stimulates brain function.
