i love this place music and athmosphere., 5 star!. if only its open after 2 am .. it would be better if the club is not closed at 2 am .. want to have more fun :)

What a great dining experience. Decor and atmosphere were different from every other restaurant we had eaten in.

No large menu choices but everything we chose was really good. The staff were all friendly and attentive without being over attentive.

After taking our time over the meal we decided to relax in their very comfy seats and have a few more drinks. Then surprise- surprise we were given a complimentary shot each.

Would totally recommend this place to anyone but allow time to enjoy it, don’t just gobble your food down and rush out.

We shall return.

User

What a beautifully decorated Africa restaurant, the staff were very welcoming, the food was delicious, the cocktails just divine and staff went out of their way to ensure all was well with our food and experience. Thank you for an amazing evening. We will be back

User

We had a really lovely experience, we changed the reservation time several times and the accommodated us. Our waiter was outstanding, getting the chef to make up a special chicken and chip dish for my son. As he is allergic to the fish and chip option and didn't like the other 2 options on the kids menu. I spilt the last bit of my cocktail and the waiter was very quick to help with napkins and got me another cocktail.

Really nice evening felt spoilt the ambiance and atmosphere was excellent. We really enjoyed ourselves thanks to the wonderful serve. Unfortunately didn't take the waiters name but thanks again..

User

I went for my friends 20th birthday and it's was great, got seated within minutes of being there, the food was delicious, drinks and service was great! And had really good entertainment!

Would definitely go back again and recommend if you wanted to go for meal out with friends 😊

User

Great atmosphere and great food, coolest place ive ever eaten plus i got to eat zebra very expensive but great for a special occasion and with vouchers it’s do able

User

Would have given you five stars had the venue not been an oven ! Get some air conditioning in people ! Prices for drinks were on the pricey side (but it is in Camden) and the food portions were on the small side. However for ambience and atmosphere, service, decor, entertainment and food, it was an amazing experience! If def go again!

User

I went last night as. Party of 14 for my daughters 21st birthday. Venue decor was very impressive. Reception staff were friendly and helpful even tho they were really busy. We were seated straightaway downstairs and introduced to our waiter who was excellent. He was running around all night dealing with several large parties but always remained attentive. The food was lovely and very filling (we had groupon vouchers shield menu). Atmosphere was great and we had banter with the bar staff. Drinks and extras were a little expensive but we expected that,it’s london. Would defo recommend for the experience. 👌

User

I had a fantastic hen night here on Saturday, the food was lovely and our waitress was friendly. The venue looks gorgeous and has a lovely ambience. We booked the cocktails masterclass and can highly recommend it, Darius was fantastic we all had a really fun time! I only gave 4 stars as I was a little disappointed that I booked using 6 buy a gift vouchers and then only needed 5 due to illness of a guest, we were told they had already redeemed the vouchers before our arrival and would not give us the monatery value off the final bill either saying we could rebook for a table for 2. We came a long way to go there and its proving difficult to get back to use the vouchers.... I feel a bit cheated.

User

The place looks amazing. There is not alot of choice on the menu if you have the buyagift voucher. We had our free cocktail. Then picked another, we knew they did happy hour but forgot to say when ordering, just thought they were all bogof, to be told the one we picked was not in the happy hour! Different menu for those ones! Too late to change our minds. They should tell you. £24.00 for two cocktails was ridiculous. The place was absolutely freezing. We complained to be told the weather is variable outside!

User

Me and my husband had a wowcher for a 3 course meal. We were greeted by the front of house staff who were polite. The staff were quite slow in bringing over our drinks and we were asked by 4 different staff members what our surname was as I believe we were given the wrong table however we had already started eating so they couldn’t move us. We weren’t too impressed by this. The food was good but could have done with some side sauces and some salt and pepper on the table. Overall it was a good experience, the restaurant setting is amazing.

User

Fabulous decor. They don’t stock no-alcohol beers or ciders so good old water had to do. The starters and sushi rolls were very tasty. Unfortunately the hand cut chips were cooked till brittle hard on the outside and full of oil!

Lamb rump very well cooked. Not eating the chips left room for absolutely scrumptious cheesecake

Music was so very very loud you need to shout to each other and even the staff struggled to hear you.

Shaka-Zulu was recommended to us while at Kaai 4 Braai in Mussel Bay, South Africa and it made us wish we were back there.

User

Booked this using buy a gift 3 course dinner. Was nice food but the portion size was far too small. Ordered sea bream and it just came with that and 4 very tiny dice sized celariac and a puree, my husband had the baby chicken and again came with hardly anything else on plate. Although it was tasty and desert was nice. Drinks very expensive and watch out the the 12.5 service charge, it soon adds up! The decor is really nice and service was good though

User

Venue, very nice. Seating was right next to the dj booth. Seats were dirty. Was given a very small menu to choose from. We had been bought a voucher as a Christmas present, which was 3 course meal and free cocktail. We bought a extra drink each, there was 4 of us. And 2 side dishes extra.... which we was expecting to pay for. But was shocked when we got a bill for £122.

Service charge is ridiculous, especially when the service was appalling. Waited quite a long time, for drinks and food.

Such a shame, as the place itself is lovely. Wont rush back.

Make sure you read the small print on the menus.

User

Nice deco & drinks, a few nice staff so I'm given 2 stars for that, but overall poor to rude services. It's the worse place I've been in my life for overall bad staff attitude & it not a cheap either.

User

From previous experience where I had Groupon deal for meal at Shaka Zulu which have to say was excellent!.

Went back even seeing bad reviews of the Twisted Circus experience.. as thought I’d make up my own mind.. Twisted Circus with expectation for performance to start at 11:00pm .. delayed until 12:15.. which involved two fire eaters .. totally disappointing!!. experience.. and have to agree with previous poor reviews.

music downstairs.. dance area packed.. rude bar staff downstairs bars ..with policy that you can only buy drinks at upstairs bars with expectation to carry drinks down steep escalator to downstairs entertainment. Cocktails at £12 ..well overpriced for approx 1/2 pint glass filled with crushed ice. Bottle beer starts at £6.50..

The African theme of the venue is very impressive ..and food on the Groupon deals.. was excellent.. but for a night out with a large group of friends .. definitely not impressed.

User

Went on a gift for my wedding and had been told how good it was. The staff at reception were extremely rude the bar staff were more interested in serving the women at the bar so they could flirt with them so much that I ended up not ordering a drink. The only positive was the food was good apart from my chips coming out cold. Overall I will not be going back.

User

Setting is eye catching, Service is jaw dropping.

Booked a 19:30 table, had to wait 10 mins at the front desk before a waitress came to book us in, we then waited until 20:45 before I had to ask the floor manager if there was a possibility of getting a drink, I told him we had been waiting over a hour and his reaction was "no way, I will check what time you were booked in", did not see him return but was greeted by a very miserable waitress.

The food was ok but well overpriced especially the cheese board at £9:50 (Look on google images for shaka zulu cheese board) it's laughable

Great looking venue, let down by very poor service and average food....

User

Me and my guests had the worse experience ever!! it was my 30th years birthday, My Husband had booked the place in advance & given a deposit as it was meant to be the perfect evening. But the staff had me and my 25 guest waiting for almost over 2 hours for some food to be served.

They had allocated us to a table which was not the one my Husband had reserved. We all had to sit in separate tables which was ridiculous as he organised it all in advance to avoid that sort of disappointment.

Their alarm went on for some reason, which was not fire or they would have evacuated everyone from the building. Instead they had us waiting for 2 hours, plus no one came to the table to apologise for the delays or to let us know if anything would be sorted or if there would be any food at all.

We had asked numerous times for someone to come to speak to us, but we were being avoided, which was even more frustrating. By then we had ordered some drinks and 2 bottles of wine, but we were charged a horrible price that was not on the menu for the wine. We then decided to stand up and leave to go and find a place near by to eat. Luckily we found one, which is called "made in Brazil" they have the best customer service there and the food tasted amazing, plus it was served fast. But the manager at Shaka Zulu have not given us a full refund back. It was definitely the worst experience! I've ever had, and on my 30th yrs Birthday, it was meant to be a special evening but it was ruined by you guys.
