What an incredible year 2018 was.... We have welcomed new members of staff; seen staff complete their training and gain new qualifications; we have said goodbye to our long-standing Practice Manager, Jayne Holden, and those big shoes have been ably filled by her successor, Charlotte Baines; Stacey, Francesca and Anthony have welcomed three new babies into the world; and Tony Clough has celebrated his 40 year anniversary since he qualified as a dental surgeon at the (Royal) London Hospital in 1978. Sorry it has taken me this long to write a review but I just want to thank Ian so much for my teeth. I had a brace put on and I was quite nervous throughout the whole procedure as I donŌĆÖt feel totally comfortable whenever I go to the dentist, however Ian was always so professional and confident that I knew I was in safe hands. He is also very honest so you know what result you can achieve and what you canŌĆÖt which I think is really important. I am so pleased with my teeth now the brace is off and I would 100% recommend!! thank you Ian & Sharrow.

Mr Clough has been my Dentist all of my life! The service at the surgery is outstanding. The treatment that my parents, my children and myself have received over the years really is of the highest standard. I have watched the surgery grow and I would highly recommend it to anyone. I was quite nervous at first but they made me feel relaxed and comfortable explaining the procedure at every stage. The result already is amazing and has made a big difference to my life. I would normally struggle to say that I love the dentist BUT i am so grateful for this place. I have been one other time apart from this morning and had a fantastic new patient check over, lovely, informative dentist who explained everything well and I was happy when I left. Last night I called 111 as my tooth pain was unbearable, they gave me a number for a local one that opened at 8 but as I wasnt registered they wouldn't see me. By this point I was in agony so decided to just drive to sharrow and see if they'll see me ASAP. I got there at 8.45am this morning (Saturday) and sat in the car for a while then went in just before 9am. They said I could be seen as an emergency and by 9am I was on the chair being seen by the lovely helpful dentist and nurse. My infected tooth is now feeling slightly better and I have anti biotics! I'm so glad I found this place and the fact it is so close to home is a bonus. Staff are amazing and place is lovely and clean! Will definitely recommend them! Thank you, thank you!

I just want to say a massive thank you to Dr Clough and his team. I had to come to an emergency appointment for a really bad tooth ache pain which was unbearable I had this pain for about a week. Previously was given antibiotics by my normal dentist and advised I would need a tooth taken out (which I obviously didnŌĆÖt want to happen at my age) when I sat down to see Dr Clough he gave his professional opinion that it was the tooth next to (the one needing taken out) which was causing me the pain and wanted to try that tooth before looking at the next option. After taking my filling out he noticed a abscess which was causing me all my pain. He managed to disperse this abscess and had to start a root canal procedure as half my nerve came out on his drill with it (I know disgusting.. I did feel sick!!)

I am the most scared little girl when it comes to going to the dentist, to me having so much work needed throughout my years itŌĆÖs made me phobic of sitting in a dentist chair completely honestly I cry! However, as much as my normal dentist also put me at ease I could not fault Dr Clough and his team one bit I would recommend him and Sharrow to anyone and everyone

I had called NHS 111 phone number due to an abscess that flared up practically overnight. They were totally professional on the phone and when we arrived at the practice. They booked me in knowing that my treatment would overrun Saturday working hours. The young dentist who treated me was the best ever, can't fault a single thing. Totally professional and highest marks ever.

I am a really nervous cry baby when it comes to the dentist. How these guys put up with me I will never know but they are patient, kind and so sympathetic to my phobia. Great Dentistry

Had to bring my daughter for Emergency appointment as. She had bad toothache , she had not been to dentist for years and was very nervous , it was such a nice place , and very clean and hygienic, staff were very friendly and nice ,and lady dentist was brilliant made her feel at ease and explained everything to her , gave her medication for a abcess and is much easier today , she would like to go there again , we live in Braintree but would be happy to go to Chelmsford to sharrow dentist as such a nice place and lovely staff thank you all making our visit pleasent ’┐Į

Please, please, please sort out your awful time keeping. Not good business practice. I walked out yesterday after waiting 40 mins over my appointment time with no apology or explanation and there was another patient to be seen before me so my appt would have been an hour late. This happens everytime I visit. I know other people that use this surgery that say the same thing. It is not good enough. We all have things to be doing rather than sitting in a waiting room like sheep!!

But like a previous person said the staff on the front desk could do with a little more customer skills training. I do hope the people at the top read these comments as it would be nice to see their response.

While I normally find the people at Sharrow helpful today I am a third class citizen to them. I need a veneer that they put on a year ago stuck back on but today is no option. So I will have to cancel the next 24 hours or go and buy some superglue. Thanks for your concern guys!

I get my check up once a year and despite having the first appointment in the diary at 8.15 am the dentist arrived 25 mins late- again. It might not happen to him every day but it happens to me every time I go. I get up a hour early, battle through traffic across town in rush hour. I get there in good time and wait for 20 minutes past my appointment time. If I did this to you, I would be charged anyway but I get no recompense. The dentist himself is lovely but I really can't have this every time.

The worst experience ever! The blond short hair receptionist hated us! Don't ask me why! She kept saying me and my husband the fact that she started at 8:00 in the morning, whilst I was trying to explain her my husband had an emergency! He was in great pain and he had double pas on the exterior and interior of the gum. She was not polite and not trying to listen to us as I was not my problem she didn't like her job.

We were regulars and paying for their services as much as they have asked us.

They have been pulled out a tooth and tried to clean the canals. The receptioner booked him an appointment in 2 months time so the doctor finished her work on the canals.

I am very disappointed about the way they treat pacients. My feeling is that they treated my husband as a number and not with professionalism.

For the receptionist: '-Dear Madam, if you don't like the job, change it!'

We changed the surgery and we are not going to go back ever again!

Receptionists so rude. Sick of these receptionist speaking to you like your a piece of dirt!!!!
