Wow! What can you say! Living a childhood fantasy! I have all been an avid Sherlock fan and can't believe I activity to see 221B Baker Street! Very cool exhibit. Lists of antiques and a friendly knowledgeable staff! Loved every second!
What a great way to spend a spare hour! The work that has gone into creating the home of Sherlock Holmes is incredible, there are so many objects and 'stuff' to look at. And I noticed that the brass is kept shiny and the house is well dusted and clean. Thoroughly enjoyed myself and had no problem asking a stranger to take a photo of me in a deer hunter hat!
Went with my husband who is a massive fan, our 11 yr old girl who really enjoyed it, and our 7yr old son who was really interested and stayed engaged. Tiny rooms and can get cramped but very very interesting with all the artifacts!
We took our 10 year old granddaughter as she's a fan. We loved it. It was an interesting and fun "museum" for a person that has never been alive. It was crowded, but everybody seemed to be having a great time.
The best place where you can relive Sherlock's lifestyle. It was a very special visit with special one's' ... !!!!
My second visit and it is so amazing the amount of detail and hard work that had gone into recreating the home.
Loved the musuem, great to be there and take in all the artifacts about Sherlock.
Great experience, like traveling in time. The place is well recreated and is very interesting.
Brilliant. Well worth a visit. Third floor is a little creepy if you have young children with you. Gorgeous gift shop. Wonderful staff.
Anyone that enjoys Sherlock and Watson will enjoy the gifts and toys they have... from back in the day to the latest version... its Sherlock.. and it's Bakers Street... what more do you expect?
Amazing experience! The shop is also great, has exclusive books and very good prices! Loved it!
A must visit place for a Sherlock Holmes fan! Excellent staff at the museum and the gift shop. :)
Nice stop for fans of the great sleuth, although there was a long lineup relative to the time it takes to go through. You have to enter the gift shop to purchase tickets before you queue up.
If you're a fan of any generation of Sherlock Holmes you have to go. There really was a boarding house at the 221 Baker St. address and room be overlooks the street. There is a guard at the front who will let you wear different hats and take photos. The museum is a cul-de-sac meaning they let a dozen people in - they wait until they all come out - and then they let another dozen people in, so the line can get Long and take a while. You can touch the objects and go through the books and papers and wear a hat and smoke a pipe and look through a magnifying glass! It's 15 pounds.
Fun place to visit Arthur Conan Doyle's fictional character in the house that he imagined him to live in!! Need to get there early to avoid queues in holiday time!
not too bad but i think is a kind of expensive for a such a small museum. Very tight place, no space for people actually to walk around and basically we paid Β£15 per person for about 15 min time and to use toilets as the gift shop was again very expensive...
Not sure what I expected given that it's a museum for a fictional character, but this was not it. Seeing the inside of an old track home, and getting a pic outside with the address were about all that was of interest. We spent maybe 6 minutes inside.
