Agree most definitely that cosmetic treatments should be more regulated.
Anyone getting ANY treatment should ask at least;
How/where the practitioner completed their training... How experienced they are What the risks of the procedure are Are they covered by insurance if something goes wrong
And finally find out what alternatives there are to the treatment .....
remember No treatment is also an option - particularly for cosmetic procedures.

I agree that there is a trend of my facial aesthetics patients getting slightly younger - but this is ridiculous !!
Apparently she may have bought the Botox online -- so she could have been injecting anything into her poor daughter.

Allergan have announced that sales of Botox is expected to reach an incredible $2 billion. Add to that figures from other companies making botulinum toxin- that makes a pretty successful product. Kudos to those doctors who discovered how useful the drug could be. I wonder who that was ??? Time to google .......

Question: Are Botox, Anti-wrinkle injections and Wrinkle relaxing injections the same thing ??
Answer : Yes. ... All names refer to the use of Botulinum Toxin Type A which is injected in specific muscles to eliminate the contractions which cause wrinkles. The pharmaceutical company, Allergan, was one of the first to do this and they called their product Botox. This name has stuck and has become synonymous with all botulinum toxin Injections.
Botox technically refers to a brand of Botulinum Toxin Type A and should only be used as such, however, Botox has become so ingrained in the industry that both patients and professionals refer to the procedure as Botox even when they are not using that specific brand.
Anti-wrinkle injections, Wrinkle relaxing injections, BoToxin and botulinum are just other ways of describing the same procedure.
