Rogue Traders have been operating Sidcup Hill Gardens. Elderly victim charged thousands for gardening work. We’ve contacted Bexley Trading Standards who will be following up with the victim. Please DONT use ‘companies’ who post leaflets through your door or come knocking uninvited. Do your research, get recommendations, speak to your friends and family. Decent companies do not need to come looking for work. Most flyers brought to our attention which advertise tree surgeons or roofers/builders are not genuine companies and are registered to fake addresses and claim to be affiliated with schemes when they’re not. If you are unsure about trades people or a company you can call Bexley Trading Standards who can give more advice.

We've located this stolen van on St Johns Rd, stolen without keys 2 days ago from Bexleyheath area. A steering lock would prevent this from happening and are a worthwhile investment for any vehicle.

Queen Mary's Hospital car park continues to be a target for tool thieves breaking into vans. We've had several incidents reported over the past week. We frequently patrol the car park because of the vehicle crime and we will continue to do so. The hospital security are well aware that the car park gets targeted and we've previously given suggestions to them about how they can improve security.
We've also had a theft reported at a business on Station Rd. A male walked in and... stole an employees purse. The male is described as 5 foot 6, olive skin tone wearing a black cap, jacket with a grey top underneath. We've had several businesses reporting similar thefts over the past few months, they are not believed to be linked but likely opportunists who can easily see when a shop or business is empty when they are passing. If you work somewhere which is accessible to the public please keep personal property out of view and secure.
