We had a truly wonderful wedding at the Sidmouth Harbour Hotel on the weekend of the 4th November 2017.
In the months leading up to the big day the staff were fantastic. Cassie (wedding manager) is an absolute star and couldn’t be more helpful. All the staff were brilliant both in advance and on the day.
We had approximately 50 guests stay for the weekend and all had a fantastic time. They were especially wowed by the decanters of gin and sherry in each room :)
Food and drinks on the day were fantastic.
We would thoroughly recommend both to guests of the hotel and anyone considering getting married there.
We can’t thank the staff enough for making our day so special.
Stayed here for a few days for our anniversary....we had noticed the hotel for many years when it was the Westcliffe ....but never thought to try it.
Well our inaugural stay was a success and we couldn't have been more pleased with the staff, the surrounding and our room (which wasn't a sea view but didn't matter as it was quiet, modern, and clean). The staff are worthy of a special mention as they are friendly, accommodating and attentive .... the positives of our stay outweighed any negatives... but on a down side we did notice the following; the outside heated pool being used by Spa attendees who flouted rules on glasses and alcohol around the pool....also day visitors dogs running around pool. As for the menus they didn't reflect some price changes which could be misleading. My biggest worry was someone who had added over £100 in food and drink onto our room, which the Hotel quickly corrected. I think if room keys had to be shown when ordering or if residents signed for added items (which I'm sure is standard industry practice) this would reduce error and stop this happening accidentally or otherwise. Just check your final invoice.... otherwise we had a fantastic time....would recommend anyone to try it.....and will stay again... loved it.
Son and Daughter-in-law had reception there a week ago. Outstanding, not fault it. Courtyard room very comfortable. Wedding breakfast.... Seating, setting and service all outstanding as was the delicious meal. Cassie and her staff could not have been more helpful. Best wedding that I've been to. Only complaint was that it wasn't really warm enough to use the outdoor pool for a swim on Sunday morning and I kept choking on the prosecco bubbles!! Thanks for a memorable day.
Sidmouth Harbour Hotel is amazing, the rooms are clean, beautifully decorated and have great facilities (mini fridge, complimentary gin and sherry, complimentary bottled water, tea and coffee etc). The beds are super comfy, you will not want to wake up in the morning!
Breakfast is great, the fryup is basic but very tasty and a nice flying start to the day. Plenty of food in the continental option.
Have stayed here a few times and not been let down once. 5* from me!

I could write for hours about all the positives. 18 months of planning went so quickly but the support and help received from Cassie (wedding coordinator) made the whole process stress free and enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble and Cassie was incredible. The whole team on the day were excellent, shout out to Millie and Paul who, with Cassie, helped everything look perfect, and kept everything running smoothly. Food was delicious, all staff were friendly and efficient. Highly recommended wedding venue! Rooms were also incredible, and breakfast was yummy too!! Thank you all so much.

I have always loved this hotel. Perfect location for dreamily looking out towards the sea and a short walk to the town. We were greeted with a smile and looked after very well. We couldn't fault the food. Absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The staff were friendly and attentive. Thank you Sidmouth Harbour Hotel. We will be back very soon. �

From the minute we arrived it’s been excellent. The food is delicious and service fantasticand staff are friendly and helpful. The spa is small but completely adequate for a relaxing few days. There is also a lovely outdoor deck area which because off the weather we were unable to use. Would recommend it for a complete chill out.
Excellent lunch : lemon sole and vegetables followed by the best chocolate brownie ever ! Lovely view and contemporary setting inside. Pleasant helpful staff.
Came here yesterday for lunch for my cousins 50th birthday. The service was impeccable and the complimentary glass of Prosecco a lovely touch for her. The food was amazing and the presentation fantastic. This is my 2nd time at the Upper Deck Restaurant and can’t wait to come again. Thank you for a lovely time.
Birthday lunch on the terrace, wonderful as always, my favourite place to go in Sidmouth.
Beautiful location for my sisters wedding, excellent and attentive staff. We will definitely be back.

A surprise 80th birthday Sunday lunch enjoyed with excellent food and very attentive staff 🙂
We've just spent 3 nights at the hotel, second visit to this hotel within a year.
The staff where extremely helpful and the room was lovely.
Had only one complaint which was the floor we were on was being renovated and so was the room opposite. Got woken up by the tradesmen starting at 0700 in the morning. Not a great wake up call.
Made a complaint and it was handled very efficiently.
I went for a spa morning with a friend, Lovely hotel, lovely massage, however trying to relax when there is aqua aerobics is going on is a bit hard! Very disappointed that we couldn't use the pool.
Food was great, however £8.70 for a small glass of wine was extortionate.
Called in for a cocktail and a gin and tonic £16 and served by the most miserable looking bar tender I have seen in a long while, when you are paying them prices you exspect at a least a smile 😃
A mixed bag. Super staff but a few minor things need dealing with: cobwebs hanging from our room cealing, fire alarm went off both nights we were there and no valid explanation or apology - not appreciated.
Cooked breakfast looked like it had come straight off a Travelodge buffet and my “sunny side up” egg was over cooked with a broken yoke.
The dinner was OK but one main course lacked finesse for the price charged”
We were in Room 102 and felt that the piles of laundry and cleaning materials around our door at times to include laundry bags falling around our feet was unacceptable.
This is our second visit to your hotel and we had some food problems with food on our first visit so were unsure about this second visit but decided to go for it - not sure we’ll make a third despite the fact that we love taking breaks in Sidmouth
We’d reiterate that dining room/bar staff were excellent and reception very welcoming
