Yvonne Comber: "I am so delighted to exhibiting at Signet Contemporary Art Gallery. This collection represents the past years experimentation and passion. In recent months I have been pushing the boundaries of my practise and have been deepening my relationship to the canvas. I am constantly fascinated, excited and inspired by the way I use my materials and most particularly oil paints. Colour is central to my work and I layer it abundantly many times to create depth, emotion and complexity in the work. The piece becomes a mirroring of nature itself. I also weave my heart and soul into each painting. I intend these pieces to communicate joy, happiness and tenderness. This collection is ultimately a celebration of love in all its manifestations."

Yvonne Coomber Solo Exhibition 11th -19th August
Yvonne Coomber is a contemporary artist specialising in colourful textured landscape paintings. Through her work she embraces poetry of structure. She was brought up on a farm and spent a large portion of her childhood in the Emerald Isle, her mother’s homeland. She was greatly influenced by the simplicity and beauty that was woven into the land there, and shaped by the gentle passion that ran through the people and culture.

Signet Contemporary welcomes new talented American Artist Irina Cumberland & these incredible water studies will be exhibited at AAF Hong Kong. Irina has developed a painting style to highlight Natural Fractial Patterns and colors on canvas. Each painting is specifically designed to maximize the calming effects of shapes, colors and scenery. Being medically trained Irina discovered that there was a growing interest in the calming effects of fractal patterns among scientists. A 1986 NASA study demonstrated that participants who viewed images consisting of fractal patterns of nature, experienced a 44% decrease in physical stress response. These Fractal Patterns such as snowflakes, trees, and waves repeats itself infinitely across different scales & size. This has now become Irinas main focus in Art.
