User

This website is so informative and friendly, amd talks about almost anything and everything to do with travel, places to stay, food and restaurant reviews.. Real people giving important and useful reviews, which is beneficial to individuals.

User

This is an award winning site and rightly so. It's informative and from genuine travellers so you can trust the reviews and advice.

User

This is a great website which thinks out of the box. Many travel sites repeat the same bland information but this one often comes at things from a different angle and really brings places to life. Reading some of the reviews makes me want to visit new and exciting places. If only money wasn't so tight I'd be packing my bags tomorrow. Keep up the good work.

User

Silver Travel Advisor is very useful point of reference. It is good to have up to date information from people who have visited an area of interest to us. We love to see places that are not on the tourist trail, to see a country as it really is. Silver Travel Advisor can certainly help. Many thanks!

I have written several reviews for you over the years and it is really rewarding to receive feedback from subsequent visitors to the area in question.

User

Plenty of interesting facts and details of various holidays and places to visit.

I love Silver Travel Advisor as it is aimed at my age group with very useful and helpful information!

I enjoy the frank opinions, tips and advice, and particularly descriptions of off the beaten trackdestinations. My partner and I love cruisig, mainly ocean, but some river. And our no.1 priority is an interesting itinerary.

No.2 is the size of the ship or boat. River boats are of course always small. But we have a rough and ready rule that we will not sail on a sea going vessel with over 2, 500 passengers. Wehate long lines to disembark at the ports, which are then swamped by 3000 or 4000 passengers all descending on one small town or island.

One example is Santorini, which we visitited in November (off season ) on a smaller ship , and really loved. But a friend of mine went on a "floating apartment block" (her description!!) In July, and she could not walk on the crowded pavements, see in to shop windows, ot get a table in a cliff top cafe to sit to admire the view!!

On the other hand, many younger people love all the activities and sporting facilities on the largest ships. So ....each to his own... I may be in the minority, but each person has to decide for him/ herself. I would just plead...Do your homework first, then there should be no disappointment or need to grumble!!

I also like a mix of ages and nationalities, love hearing of life and culture in other countries. So, if that means sailing on Italian, American or Australian ships, that is fine. But many Brits would disagree with me, and, again, that is fine!. Each to his/her own taste!!

Whatever / wherever you decide, Bon Voyage!!
