Congratulations to Lee Mitchell, After Sales Manager of Volkswagen Cardiff on receiving his Gold Pin for outstanding dedication and service to Volkswagen.
Awarded by Kevin Rendell, Head of Service and Parts on behalf of Volkswagen AG, the Gold Pin started in 1967 and, since then, only 1,200 people have been chosen to receive them in the UK.
Again a huge Congratulations to Lee and thank you for your commitment to our brand and business.

Good Luck to Richard Baker our General Sales Manager at Mercedes Benz of Swansea who starts his mega fundraising challenge next weekend. His plan is to run 3 marathons in 4 weeks to raise money for Brain Research UK, a charity close to his heart since a family member was taken ill with a rare brain condition. Richard hopes to raise £3,000 and would appreciate any donations on his just giving page https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/rb3 Richard is set to run the Great Welsh Marat...hon on April 14th, the London Marathon on April 21st and the Newport Wales Marathon on May 5th. What a feat! I know he has been training hard so I am sure he will do it. Brain Research UK fund research into several conditions including Dementia, Alzeimers, Epilepsy, Parkinsons, Brain Tumours and Motor Nurone Disease so all the money Richard raises will be put to a very beneficial cause. Mercedes-Benz of Bridgend recently thanked Dave and Luke for 5 years of loyal service to the after sales department. Thanks guys.

We recently said goodbye to Kerry Thomas, Director of Sinclair Finance and Leasing, who has retired after 25 years service to the Group. Kerry and Gerald worked together to start Sinclair Finance and Leasing in the 1990s so Kerry is very sad to leave the team of 30 people he has since employed. Kerry has started his retirement with a trip to Australia and New Zealand, so I doubt he is missing us yet! I am sure you all join me in wishing Kerry a happy, healthy retirement. The slimmer Kerry in the photos below is a cardboard cut-out we had made for the retirement party, which Kerry believes is simply a younger version of himself with an updated face!

This year we celebrated the long service of 75 Sinclair employees who joined the company in either 1988, 1998, 2003 or 2013. Two of those employees are pictured below with Jamie Callan, they are based at Bridgend Volkswagen, Claire Williams who is a Business Manager and Saddir Miah who is the Used Car Sales Manager Congratulations both and to all of the other 75 of you!

We recently held a celebration to thank colleagues who have been with the company for many years, with 20 and 30 year anniversaries to be recognised.
As well as those pictured below we also thanked two people who were unable to join us on the day, they were John Williams Technician at Mercedes Benz of Cardiff and Newport and Jane Ralph from Sinclair Services at Newport.
It was a pleasure to spend time with all of these people who have been loyal to the company and contributed to its success.
