Slade - Snooker & Indoor Bowls Clubs

Slade Snooker Club, & Indoor Bowls are friendly clubs and welcomes anyone interested in playing either bowls or snooker for pleasure or competition

.

The Slade Recreation Club (Slade RC) was established in 1989. With the aid of a lottery grant, councillors were able to raise money to convert what used to be a HGV storage depot into a recreation club. Which would support the activities of Indoor Bowls & Snooker, as well as being a venue to hold other events like meetings /presentations as well as other social activities. Each club has it own committee and arranges its own activities league fixtures, competitions etc.

The Slade RC is run by a group of non executive directors who meet once a month to discuss issues, such as finance, marketing, building maintenance, events, plus other issues which come up from time to time.

Slade RC Indoor Bowls club welcomes anyone who is interested in playing bowls.

The club bowling season is from Sept - Apr.

Mornings - Opening hours

Every morning between 10am and 12am, the club is open for roll-up practise.

This is an ideal time to come along if you are new to the game as someone will always be available to help explain how to go about joining and learning to play.

(SIBC) has a resident coach so even if you have never played before you can get some coaching.

Afternoon - Opening times

Some league matches are played in the afternoons during the week.

Opening times - Evenings

Again some league games are played on certain nights during the week. On nights when no league games are played, then members can come along to practise by themselves or with their fellow bowls members.

Weekends: Slade RC hold several matches /competitions against club's from in and around the south east, please check out the fixture & results if you want to know more.



Slade RC Snooker club is friendly and welcomes new members and guests (guest fee applies) They have four full size snooker tables, all tables are maintained to a high standard. Slade RC is open daily for snooker.

As a general rule the club is open between 10am-12am mornings and between 7: 30-10pm evening's every weekday between April & Sep.

The club is also open during the summer months May-Aug between 10am-12am and 7. 30 /8pm - 10pm .

The club may also be open on some afternoons and weekends for indoor bowls matches when you are welcome to access snooker tables for details see bowls fixtures list. Or you can be a volunteer keyholder providing you will open\close club on your preferred night.

We also operate a key holder system when the club can be opened if its not in use during normal opening hours. Please see front door for contact details for the appropriate key holder for each night.

As the Slade RC is run by volunteer members, we are always keen to hear about any member who may want to help with the running of one of the separate clubs or even to join the Slade Council Committee as a Director.
