SLRHut’s roots date back to 2002 when we began offering professional camera and camcorder equipment locally in our retail store and then quickly expanded online, spanning sales globally and specifically to the entire United Kingdom. Despite the extremely large consumer base that we have built up since 2002, we noticed that most people around the world that are in the market for professional camera and camcorder equipment were not getting very good prices from most vendors worldwide. We then placed the burden of researching a very global market onto our marketing teams shoulders. Alas, they had figured it out; these same products that we offer, that sold in the UK and other parts of the world are being sold at prices 20% - 40% higher than ours due to manufacturers demanding MSRP pricing and enforcing MAP policies to most retailers that are not distributors; We asked the question; Why should consumers have to pay MSRP with such a high markup? Why can't we sell Wholesale Pricing to the public since we are distributors of consumer electronics? The answer was simple; WE CAN, and WE DID. Since we realized that the internet has made the commerce business very global we quickly spanned globally becoming one of the worlds largest consumer electronics retailers and our nations largest online supplier of consumer electronics passing the savings to our valued customers.
