We had afternoon tea yesterday, a table was reserved for us on arrival.

The choice was available in which order we’d like it - cocktail - savoury - desert - cocktail.

The service was spot on & great value for money.

Will definitely do it again!

The vegetarian options are delicious, service was quick and friendly, vegan and gluten free options as well.

The best place. Lovely restaurant and very international food. ALSO SPANISH RECIPE WITH CHORIZO. Good music and good DJ. All ages people. Good cocktails. REASONABLE PRICES.

Saturday lunch of sea bass and salad was delicious dessert of blackcurrant and prosecco roulade scrummy,our waiter was brilliant and good atmosphere,will be back,oh my husband had the mojito jelly and ice cream,was to die for!!

Fantastic bar on a Friday or Saturday night to go out to, clientele are pleasant, music rocks and the bar staff are most accomadating. Will defiantly be heading back there soon

Came here a week ago for the cocktails master class with my friends. Really enjoyed it! Great value for money. The food was amazing too and the staff were all so friendly.

Great atmosphere in the bar downstairs afterwards and the DJ played some great music. Highly recommend!! �����

Best Nachos ever! Finally I have found somewhere in this country that do proper nachos and that was here. And the staff were great too

Can't compare Colchester to it's sister at Fetter Lane: gents toilets were a lake, no toilet roll, and after hiking back down to the bar, was given the end of a roll. Back upstairs to paddle through the lake to discover no lock!?

And then the lunchtime menu choice and orders - seems to revolve around more alcohol based selections than the variety of meals.

Cheese and bacon burger has a bone dry beef blob which I removed - ended up with an expensive bacon buttie!

Wife's smothered chicken was minuscule, so guaranteed dry too.

Salvaged only by over enthusiastic waiting staff.

Been comming here for years and the food has always been lovely, just two things that ruin the experience tho! Service is really poor, came in with my daughter of 4 years old, sat down and nobody came to our table, waited 15 minutes then had to go and ask at the bar, it wasnt even busy! Also the food is good but not consistant! Had the most amazing burrito at one time, went in again for the same and it was nice but completely different and lacked certain ingredients as shown on the menu :( oh and some of the staff have a bit of an attitude like they really cant be bothered.

Sign on table said it was table service. After sitting awhile & watching a staff member give a table an in depth clean, I enquired at the bar about ordering. Was told bar or table, my choice. Table service order taken. Spicy chicken salad in a tortilla shell (or some such). Salad was nice good variety, chicken was overcooked, dry and chewy & tortilla rock hard & oversized. Won't be going back.

On a hen do, stuck upstairs with no air con, only 2 of the windows opened, they hadn't thought to get any fans. It must have been 40 degrees up there! Only one member of staff allocated to us, who actually did a great job considering she was on her own! Table was set up several places short, only got half a glass of prosecco each, not enough cutlery, some of the food was burnt, main courses brought when starter plates still on the table. One meal had hair in it, took 40mins for the replacement to arrive. Had to go downstairs and fight through the crowds every time you wanted a drink. The cocktail making - they only provided one shaker so took about 2 hours for us all to have a go! Music not the same as downstairs but too hot to dance anyway. Overall not great, we did all manage to have a laugh for the hen's sake but none of us will ever book a function here!

Have to say that on the menu which sounded promising did not live up to expectations - that which was billed as seasonal vegetables were either limp or were blanched as opposed to cooked, I think they just barely paused on their way through the kitchen to our plates, they had planely been hanging around kept warm for a long time. Due to a large reserved party type of event happening we had to sit at a table towards the rear of the place, this was understandable & we did not object to this, what was off putting was the state of the table & the fact that the staff whom were setting up another reserved area then started to slide excess chairs past where we were sat...all in all we won't be returning to this Chain.

we had our food order taken . than asked where we would be sitting . none of this was a problem until a very rude young girl marched over to our table saying " this table is booked for 6.30 pm you will have to leave by then "! it was 4.50pm so not a problem we said. our food order was then ready to her comment of "oh your having good too "! once she had more or less thrown our food down on the table began to 're arrange the furnature loudly. this made us feel so uncomfortable and whilst a dinning experience should have been pleasant so made it very unpleasant. we will not be returning...

Won't be going back in there ever again! As i was told to go when thinking a staff member was taking my drink off the table i was sitting at while I was dancing and when i said you have took my vodka and lemonade but it was a water (my mistake they look the same) she called the bouncer woman to get me out and wouldn't let me finish my drink I just paid for! Totally wrong i didnt do anything wrong. �

My husband and I came in for breakfast this morning, when the breakfast came out the sausages looked anaemic and about a week old, the eggs weren't cooked properly and still had runny whites, couldn't decide if they were fried or poached! (Asked for poached) toast was burnt and bacon had a funny taste!! (Possibly gone off) the waitress was extremely helpful and no fault to her service, the chef however could do with some tips on how to cook a simple breakfast!!! We still paid for them even though virtually untouched but will never come back here again!!!

Maybe you should consider guest and staff safety and fucking install air con!!!!!!! We feel like a box of fucking sardines

Food was ok but staff rude and ignorant. We were asked where we was going to sit, so said seats in the corner near the toilet this was ok' d by the bar staff. Took to our seats with our drinks around 4.50pm and young girl came over dumped a sign on our table saying reserved and we would have to move at 6.30 ok fair doos. She then grunted at us when she brought our food over and as soon as we started eating she then proceeded to move all the tables and chairs around us (mainly dragging them) to the point I thought the table with our food on was gonna get pulled out from under us.

If we had been asked to choice another table this would have been a understood request however this attitude and behaviour was shocking. It's just a shame I paid when I ordered as I wouldn't have bothered after this treatment!
