Its getting colder! The excuses creep in, its too wet, too cold, too windy and we find ourselves maybe not paddling as much as we should.
Here is an article by John Willacy from Performance Sea Kayak giving you a bank of sessions to help make the most of these colder shorter days. These aren't just applicable to kayakers as they have all been tested by SW Staff on SUPs.

Went SUP with Rosie (8) my middle daughter and just myself and with Dan on xl red sup. With 17 feet of sup and just 3 of us it was wicked, Rosie practiced her gymnastics floor routine for erdington gym.

We went for a day of family adventure with Chris and Dan at Snowdonia Watersports today. It was brilliant! They were patient, informative, fun and easygoing with both us adults and the kids. They explained all the important bits and got us playing games and pushing ourselves at every discipline. We'd definitely do it again.

We hired Kayaks for the first time today. It was awesome. The girl who helped us brimmed with enthusiasm and organised wetsuits and a kayak for us. Rod and I enjoyed it so much. I am very happy this evening!! Many thanks SWSxx

We had a fabulous hilarious 2 hours on Padarn today! I didn’t manage to stand up, George was like a professional! Thanks for dog sitting Coco-pop! As Arnie says I’ll be back!

We did SUP on the lake and it was truly stunning! Had the best morning! Thank you

Thanks for being so welcoming today to three mad ladies and their dogs. Following our Canicross around the lake the coffee and cake was most welcome. The staff were so helpful and cheerful and the dogs were given fresh water and even biscuits. We will definitely visit again

It's been almost 12 months since I first visited Surf Lines & bought my Mad River Explorer 15. Have been back many times since & cannot praise the staff highly enough!

Husband, son and friend went paddle boarding and canoeing. Well worth the money with friendly and helpful staff.

Had a great day on Saturday on a Kayaking session with Dan! Really relaxed and informative with a nice walk into Vivian Quarry to finish it off. Looking forward to getting back onto the water again

Good value for money, friendly knowledgeable staff. If you're in the area & looking for something fun to do pay them a visit. If you don't fancy going on the lake just pop in for lunch or coffee/tea & cake excellent prices & good sized portions served by friendly staff.

Action SUP was my goal today and the 2 hour session flew by! Thanks to Dan who got us all standing very quickly and made the afternoon really enjoyable. No issues booking, excellent value. Highly recommend it to anyone. I've issues kneeling due to breaking my knee but this was taken in to consideration with minimal fuss. One word to describe it.....AWESOME!
