Malaria is one of the biggest killers of children under 5, but it doesn't have to be that way. Englands Mark Wright and Soccer Aid World XI captain Usain Bolt tell you how you can help change the lives of children around the world!

We had an amazing time but agree with a couple of the comments. A screen showing the itv screening would be helpful, as at times the crowd were not aware what was going on and did seem that a lot of the entertainment was aimed for the people watching on tv! Mo made the game in the first half, felt a bit flat second half as no announcement made about changes to the teams but on the whole a fantastic event, my 6 year old certainly loved it, although it was a late night for him.

User

Was really good, being on a Saturday in future would be better especially being such a late kick off and young kids in school on a Monday, or even being an earlier on a Sunday afternoon may also be better

User

The stewards and Security were great and very helpful, great time had but thought it was too late a kick off wish it had been earlier, three or four o'clock would be ideal, because it was so late when we got out and very dark.... Would not go again because of the late kick off but fabulous match and cause. Well done to all involved from cleaners to footballers , tv stars , stewards and everyone x

User

Had a fantastic day. Shame the match starts so late on and the car parking was horrendous. Got to the car at 10:15 didn’t get out of the car park until 12 and we were pretty much at the front so god knows how long others were waiting. Didn’t get on the m62 until 12:40 and from there a lovely 3 hours drive home on a school night also. Youd expect traffic on match days and events but i have honestly never seen anything so chaotic.

User

Great atmosphere in the stadium and thoroughly enjoyed it even though I booked seats in the highest part of the stadium. Seats were a little higher than expected however it’s a charity game and I didn’t mind. Drove for 3 hours to come to the game and was stuck in traffic for over an hour going to our hotel however past football games have already shown this is possible. As for the entertainment and kick off times everything is setup for tv so didn’t have a problem with any of that, knowing how late the game was we stayed over night in Manchester. Absolutely brilliant experience and will be returning in 2 years!!

User

Absolutley brilliant...but please please make kick off time earlier next year! We didnt get home until 1am and up at 6.45 for school...very tired and grumpy kids and very tired and grumpy parents don't mix well !

But apart from that it was fantastic

User

Absolutely loved it!! We took my son for his 8th Birthday and will definitely go again. I do however agree with other comments that it needs to be an earlier kick off or a Saturday. Amazing experience, just too late for children on a school night ÔŅĹ

User

A fantastic night, thoroughly enjoyed by all members of my family especially when King Eric returned to Old Trafford. Atmosphere was great and my son loved the Mexican wave as well as seeing some amazing sporting legends like Usain, Mo and the ex pros. I agree with other comments about how the entertainment felt like it was aimed at the tv audience and not the paying crowd inside the stadium, a screen would have been nice to actual see Jonas Blue and Jessie Ware singing instead of their backs! Also would have been nice to know who was substituted at half time as we had to guess! Despite those two negatives a great night and will be coming back for the 2020 game.

User

We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. However I agree with the general theme of other Reviews.......1) entertainment for those in the ground was very poor; 2) needed a big screen; 3) lack of half time substitute announcements was poor; 4) 8.00 on a Sunday night is not good for a ‚Äúfamily‚ÄĚ event.

I would also add that I thought there were too many ex-Man Utd players involved. This is supposed to be a national event hosted by Man Utd not a Man Utd event that the rest of the country are invited to. Final point - there was a disparity with the level of ex-pros between the 2 teams. With respect - Darren Bent & Darius Vassell are not in the same league as Patrick Kluivert, Claude Makelele, Clarence Seedorf, Yaya Toure etc. Although things turned out to be quite even it could have been an embarrassing mis-match.

All the above are just little niggles that if addressed could make a ‚Äúgood‚ÄĚ event ‚Äúgreat‚ÄĚ.

User

We all thoroughly enjoyed the experience however too late for children to be out. As we travelled from Blackpool we didn’t get home until midnight and that was us leaving before the end. Just think as it’s a family event to take into consideration children with bedtimes and school. Looking forward to seeing it again in the future.

User

This was my very first Soccer Aid eventÔŅĹ. But will I go again? 8pm was a late kick-off time for the kiddies regardless of living in Manchester, OR like us, who had a 3 & 1/2hour drive. Been to Old Trafford n to Manchester arena before, but a Sunday evening this late is a 'no' from us ÔŅĹ. I do sincerely hope that lots of money was raised!!! XxX

User

This was my 8th soccer aid. Really love seeing the mix of celebrities and footballers but please please do an early kick off for the families we got home at 3am and had school and work.

Also more entertainment for the people there from when the gates open not just 630pm. Big screens great idea to also see What's going on on itv.

But main things earlier kick off and entertainment for the crowd.

All in all though where else can you pay £30 and see some amazing athletes actors and footballers.

See you in 2 years

And well done to all the money raised again.

User

It was my first football match live.

I really enjoyed it to and will defo be going to another one again with my other half. We are already on about going again next time soccer aid is on but next time will be having more people come with us not just us two and will hopefully get closer to players.

I had so much fun and everyone really enjoyed themselves just wish there was no horns going off all the time and less Mexican wave well that match was going on. other than that it was fab.

User

I've been to a few soccer aids in the past when they were 3pm kick off and these were brilliant, but 8pm kick off was about late. I paid £10 for parking at united so i expected to be close to the ground but was on a 'car Park' on the other side of the road. Didn't enjoy the venue as we were sat in the Stretford end and the seats were far too close together. Purchased a programme but it got covered in beer from the row behind so i left it there. Would have been nice to have had team/subs read out at beginnng of second half. I only got tickets as my other half had never been but at £2.90 for a bottle of Fanta, I'll be staying at home next year.

User

I really enjoyed the night. My only feed back would be that i presume more is done for TV than the people that actually spent money on the charity getting a ticket. At half time teams changes yet not one announcement was made. Not even a "as they get ready to kick off for 2nd half subs are..." and not a glimps of Robbie?? Maybe a screen in the ground for us. Also alot stuff done by the dug out so other side can not see. Great cause would do again

User

Had a fab day out but was very disappointed as were many that after standing in the rain and getting soaked through twice, the coach went straight past us. Everyone was hoping to get a close up glimpse or a pic of their idol which is why we stood the weather... they was worth it, pity us fans weren't!

User

Needs to be on a Saturday due to a school night also to many roads blocked off on leavening the announcer needs to talk to all four stands not just Two and I’m sorry when team busses pull up could everyone please Acknowledge The crowd only Robbie Williams and Olly Murs that I saw get of the coach and none at all from the rest of the world Disgusting There’s Little kids standing for hours in the Rain To See Eric Cantona And Bolt Etc Just for them to walk straight in Awfal ! Perthetic!

User

The football side to it was fantastic, however it all seemed to be aimed at TV and not the 70,000 in the stadium. With the short music performances with their back to everyone in the corner and the lack of announcements of subs during half time. It all seemed a bit weird not involving the full stadium full of fans that have travelled a long way to be there. Also, prior to the game there was no entertainment around the stadium or even any 'celebs' signing for the fans pre match which i thought was a little disappointing as many families were waiting there for hours. Plus the security and staff organisation was terrible after the match with the footballers leaving without signing anything for the fans who waited for them for hours afterwards after being promised signatures which caused anger and made the situation very dangerous for the public.

User

Our seats were so high up, we couldn’t see the players, we had no idea who was who during the game, which spoilt it. The seats were crammed, very little legroom, and I’m only small. Like others, we felt the entertainment was aimed at those watching on tv at home. I can understand that you are trying to make as much money as possible for charity, but packing that many people into a stadium to watch a charity match where people are unable to see the players is not a great experience for the fans. Sadly, we won’t be going again.
