About Sooty Steve'S
Sooty Steve's, qualified Chimney (ICS) Sweep. Based in & around Marden, Kent. Also available for your Wedding!
Sooty Steve'S Description
As well as being a professional Chimney Sweep and log supplier, Steve is also available for Wedding:
Tradition has it that 200 years ago, a chimney Sweep saved the life of King George II by stopping his runaway horse and carriage. The King issued a Royal Decree that Chimney Sweeps are bringers of luck and should be treated with the greatest of respect. So started the tradition and because sweeps are lucky, couples would arrange to meet the sweep at their Wedding.
Today, seeing a chimney sweep on your wedding day is still a lucky omen and many couples choose to have them attend their wedding for a handshake for the groom and a lucky kiss for the bride.
Sooty Steve will attend your happy day dressed in traditional sweeps costume, recite a goodwill message, kiss the bride and present the couple with lucky coal pieces to keep and treasure before having photos taken with the newly married couple & their guests.

Good evening everyone
Just so you all know due to things in my personal life I stopped sweeping and went and did some HGV driving, saw a lot of Scotland, Wales and the midlands, did a visit to the south of France, now life is good and I’m back to doing what I love. If you haven’t heard from me that’s why, I will be calling everyone to get you booked in if you haven’t already had a sweep.
I am sorry for going off grid for abit and I am so great full for all your support and I ...hope to see you all soon.

Nice surprise today with a hornet 🐝 nest, glad they had all gone
Good afternoon I'm in the process of trying to save a 1940's Rayburn no4 for a very good customer of mine, but unfortunately it's not fit for burning any more but is beautiful. This is now a decorative piece only but if there's anyone out there who would love to save it from the scrap heap that would be great.
Please pm or call if interested
... P.s more pics to come when finished as waiting on glass to come.
