Spanish Galleon

About Spanish Galleon

freshly cooked traditional pub food in a maritime setting

Spanish Galleon Description

A stone’s throw from the Cutty Sark, the Spanish Galleon enjoys a prime spot in the centre of historic Greenwich. We have two bars and here's the best bit. We have a fish and chip shop inside the pub. Yes that's right, a fish and chip shop that's open to customers and passers-by. We also offer pub favourites, light bites and a children's menu.

We regularly show televised football, rugby, cricket, tennis, golf and cycling.

had Lunch here a couple of times and highly recommend anything on the menu! steak burgers are truly delicious at the Spanish Galleon, if your in Greenwich this pub is well worth a visit.

User

We were at the market just down the road, and having had some pretty hit n miss food over the past few days, we decided pub sandwiches would be safest. OMG. If Carlsberg made sandwiches......!!! Fresh, delicious and served with crispy salad and the best chips EVER!!! Definitely going here again next time we are in London.

User

We made a short film at this pub.

The manager and staff were amazing, really helpful and really friendly really enjoyed this venue thanks Guys

User

Lovely pub with very nice food. Vegan option was lovely. Food was sooooo hot! Service was quick and very friendly..... Rare nowadays in busy restaurants, especially on a busy Saturday afternoon.

....also, big bonus DOG FRIENDLY!

User

I had my first proper fish 'n chips at The Spanish Galleon. A charming by place in a great town. I hope to go back some day.

User

Great food..cod and chips outta this world! Nice, friendly staff and in a good location to quench thirsty throats and tired feet, after any touristy afternoon.

User

Food was nice, staff are polite, helpfull and smile. The pub (including toilet) was very clean. So we want to go to the pub soon :D

Thank you for very nice food and service.

User

Beautiful pub such lovely staff

User

Another great lunch for our choir after rehearsals at The Royal Naval Chapel - a great function room, lovely food, amazing value and top service - we will be back again thank you Sam!

User

Typical old-fashioned style pub - and therefore a great place to take a friend on his first visit to London.

User

Lovely pub really warm, and welcoming but gave it 4* cause I thought the staff could have been a little bit friendlier but would definitely recommend a visit

User

Had to stop for refreshments so visited this pub. I opted for ham, egg and chips and my niece had the applewood cheddar sandwich. Food was great and the bitter shandy was just what I needed on a hot day

User

A bit on the pricey side and the menu was a bit limited ... that said the surroundings were pleasant, as were the staff and the quality of food and drink was as good as you'll find anywhere, on balance it's 👍👍

User

Nice pub, as they served food and it was so cold ordered a cup of tea, waited a while for it to arrive so was very disappointed when a pot of luke warm water arrived with an organic tea bag and cup for me to make my own. Making tea is simple pour freshly boiled water onto tea bag. I despair at what has happened to our national drink. Lads seemed happy enough with their beers though

User

Lovely place friendly staff ..good just ok over priced & very small portions.. nice for a drink

User

Crazy crazy over priced.

Food okay, fish decent, the 6 chips we had were, well chips, and the tiny portion of peas were mushy.

Beer was over £4.00 a pint for non premium beers.

Total bill for 4 people £65.00, not what you would expect from an average pub.

By the way, i used to run what was considered the best pub in Greenwich so these aren't the mutterings of a disgruntled tourist, i do have an idea what it takes to operate a outlet just like this.

User

Went there for the 1st time yesterday

1st pint smell really bad and tasted bad .

Then they rang the bell for last orders and we got a last pint and within us steating back down and having a sip they try to kick us out .

Really poor !

User

Just a rubbish experience. We ordered a Bloody Mary, the girl didn't really know what it was so we had to explain. Food arrived which was ok I guess, but then I made the grave mistake of asking for a pepper mill, the response I got was "Your not in a posh city restaurant now sir" we ended up going up the road to The Sail Loft where the Bloody Mary's were banging and guess what, they had pepper!

User

Awful. Bo proper vegan options. I ended up having soup and salad. Lots of options were off the menu as they didn't have the ingredients. They forgot to bring my food so I waited and by the time it was served everyone else had finished.
