Sparkle Carpet And Upholstery Cleaning

Well it’s been 3 weeks since my accident. I am getting stronger everyday.i have at least another 3 1/2 weeks in this neck brace before my first out patients appointment back at kings.

After seeing several people asking about DIY carpet cleaning using RUG DOCTORS.. I took a few minutes to offer my tuppence
I understand that not everybody can afford to get a professional in to do the job However to hire a rug doctor.. you have to go to the store ... spend £40 to hire and get the detergents. Then transport unit home .. then we need to read the manual. ... Then most of you will ignore the instructions 😂. You will also add extra detergent to help get the carpet cleaner 😳😳 This is a big big mistake ... take the time to read properly ... use the correct dosage of detergents . By using more detergent you are leaving more soap in the carpet. Which in a short time , will get dirtier much faster than you'd think .
If I were to use a rug doctor .... use correct dosage .. check the water regularly as the rug doctor has very small tanks .. which means that you will spend a lot of time filling and emptying the machine. Allow plenty of time for the job.. think how long you might need .. and double it.
Once you have finished cleaning you now need to refill the machine with only water and repeat the clean (at least once)this will help remove the detergents/ chemicals from the carpet.
Then after the rinse clean ... now go over the area several times with only the vacuums switched on .. this will help draw more moisture from the carpet and quicken the drying.. which I'd suggest is around 12-24 hours with the rug doctor .
Now open the windows and allow plenty of ventilation as this will assist in the drying process.
And now return the machine 😊
I honestly think that it's more hassle than it is worth... It's time consuming ,hard work and not as good as a professional...
collecting and returning the machine will take 1-1.5 hours cleaning one room would take around 1-1.5 hours at best And on balance I believe that I work out at better value for money than a rug doctor as I charge similar for one room 😇😇😇
