Low-energy shock wave therapy (SWT) is a revolutionary treatment that is used to treat tendon and other soft-tissue problems, particularly those that have not responded to other treatments.

Tendon problems, such as tennis elbow, Achilles tendonitis and patellar tendonitis are usually treated initially by physiotherapy. Sometimes they fail to respond to this and become longstanding problems. They can cause severe pain and limit sports and other activities. SWT has proved to be an excellent treatment option in such cases.

We are called Specialist SWT because our treatments are delivered by Specialist doctors. We are experts in tendon and soft-tissue problems and before we recommend SWT as a treatment, we ensure that the underlying problem is accurately diagnosed and appropriate investigations, such as scans, are performed.
