Wednesday 3rd October we will have a Citizens Advice Bureau advisor with us during our Coffee Morning in the West Room cafe area at the rear of church. There will be a CAB advisor on the first Wednesday of the month between 10.00 to around noon. They can advise or refer on a wide range of areas including housing, debt, immigration, family issues, benefits and more. No appointment necessary, it's a drop-in session. We will always have our cafe open on the first Wednesday, too, serving drinks, biscuits and cakes.

A good service this morning of Holy Communion and also prayers of healing. In the sermon we were encouraged to support others in prayer and action whilst Sunday School explored what Jesus meant by being salt in the world, in other words preserving and 'seasoning' the world around us by being respectful, sharing and loving. Next Sunday is our all age Harvest celebration. Donations are welcome for Food bank and other recipients. Our service next week is followed by a bring and share lunch. Everyone welcome as always.

Remembering Wilson Carlile today, the founder of Church Army. Carlile's vision was for 'ordinary' men and women to bring the gospel to areas of great social and economic need, through prayer and action. Church Army is still at the heart of our communities today. We give thanks for their dedication and care. www.Churcharmy.org

St Aidan's works hard to be a centre of activity, friendship and peace in Westcourt and Riverview Park. Our next service is 10.00 on Sunday.

A wonderful weekend at St Aidan's as we welcomed our new Vicar, Rev'd Michael Payne. The Bishop of Rochester Instituted him and celebrated our patronal festival with us in which we remembered the life and ministry of St Aidan. It was good to welcome members of the local community including the mayor of Gravesham and our local councillor along with members of local churches. This week we have a short service on Wednesday morning at 9.30 and Holy Communion at 10.00 next Sunday.
