St Anne's is very sad to announce the death of a true Soho icon, the incomparable Ruby Venezuela. Private cremation to be followed by a memorial service in Soho sometime in September.

We had a ball at the Patronal Festival on Sunday, a big thank you to our visiting Patron Lucy Winkett, Rector of St James's Church, Piccadilly who delivered a fantastic sermon as well as our wonderful musicians Lucy Trewinnard, Andy Mackay - Roxy Music, and of course Annie Lydford and the BBQ'ers Joao Rocha Jeff Waddell and Rodrigo!
... We were all delighted at the engagement news of Lucy Trewinnard and Claire Amaladoss - Rev'd Simon is buying a hat!

• Our newsletter covers events happening at St Anne's to the end of September, please make sure you pick up a copy from outside the Chapel.
• Donations to St Anne’s can now be made by credit/debit cards- please speak to one of the wardens.
• August is generally a quieter month in Soho… but all worship services continue here as usual.

This sunday! 29th July - we'd love you to join us at St Anne's for a very special service featuring one of the country's most sought-after preachers Rev'd Lucy Winkett along with music for organ, guitar and alto sax.
The service will be followed by a Brazilian style BBQ in the courtyard garden. Bring a friend or neighbour and if you're staying for the BBQ please bring a bottle too!

On the 17th anniversary of his own ordination as a Priest, Fr Simon joins Fr Keith for the ordination of St Anne's very own Raymond Baudon as a Deacon in the church. Hurrah!

Congratulations to our newest congregant, Connaught Armstrong-Moss (aged 8) who was baptised yesterday. Conn is a long-standing member and vocal participant @annessoho Connaught chose "When the Saints go Marching in" as our final hymn - which was sung with great gusto by all!

On Wednesday at 1pm there will be a Eucharist of Thanksgiving followed by a reception for the life of #DorothyCone St Martin-in-the-Fields a congregant of St Martins and a regular at our Tuesday Communion service. All who knew Dorothy are welcome.

We may have found the friendliest (and unsurprisingly, the queerest) church in London, and after a lovely service we're out with an eclectic group of parishioners for lunch.

This is where my lovely brother nik and his 2 friends Andrea and Jon have their memorial cherry trees they were killed on 30th April 1999 in Admiral Duncan bombings we visit twice a year to support the anniversary and the oct hate crime awareness xxxx

The open gardens are special to us as they continue to support 17-24-30. And the memorial to those that lost their lives in the Soho bombing in 1999. We visit often
