Great news - Our Vicar is now Canon Richard
Father Richard, our Vicar, was made a Canon on the 6th of June.This honour was granted by Bishop Matthias, the Bishop of Ho in Ghana in recognition of Fr Richard’s support and friendship to the Church in Ghana and his welcome and support for Bishop Matthias whenever he is in the UK.
Though he can now be called ‘The Reverend Canon Richard Tillbrook’, he has made it clear he still wishes to be known as Father Richard. ... Ho, in Ghana. Is part of the World Wide Anglican Communion. The Bishop of Chelmsford has sent Fr Richard his blessing and congratulations.

St Barnabas was truly celebrated in style this evening. A prayerful Mass with uplifting hymns of praise and worship. Thank you to father James and his people of St James who celebrated with us.

We invite you all to share in the joy of our Patronal Festival on the 11th of June!
Mass: 7pm
The Mass will be followed by refreshments at the Vicarage.

David and Aldine Laitt are hosting a May Day tea party, on Monday the 6th of May, 3.30pm in the Church Hall. Tickets £4.00. Tickets available from Fr Richard, the Church Wardens and of course David and Aldine.

"It's good to talk" drop in coffee morning Wednesday the 1st of May 9am - 12 noon. We will even have cake!! Come and join us to put the world to right and make new friends. A warm welcome awaits you.

It was worth getting up at 4.45 for so many reasons! What a wonderful Easter and Lentern journey we've shared at St Barnabas. A few pictures from the 6am dawn Mass.

Thank you to everyone who came to clean and decorate at St Barnabas today. The church is looking amazing - but don’t take our word for it! Come and join us at 6am for the dawn vigil and first mass of Easter tomorrow or at 10am for our family sung Mass and the sharing of Easter eggs. Everyone is welcome and we’d love to see you.

Easter services at St Barnabas Church;
Maundy Thursday 18th April, 7.30pm. Solemn Mass and washing of feet. Followed by vigil until midnight.
Good Friday 19th April, 12 noon. Veneration before the cross and devotions. Join us for hot cross buns after the service.
... Easter day 21st April, 6am. First Mass of Easter with lighting of the fire. 10am Family sung Mass and distribution of Easter Eggs.

Palm Sunday marks the beginning of Holy week come and join us as we gather at the Vicarage at 9.45am and processing to the Church for our service at 10am. Everyone is welcome and we would love you to join us.

Father Richard and the Old Heath Community Trust have organised a litter pick for the British Spring Clean this year. Meeting at the Church at 10pm this Saturday the 6th of April. All are welcome and equipment can be collected from the Church. Please do come and join us.
