St Barnabas Woodford has begun constructing its Quiet Garden and at present, it is still under construction, moving slowly but surely.
The Quiet Garden Movement opened its first garden in 1992. Today, there are over 300 Quiet Gardens worldwide. This movement was founded by Revd Philip Roderick and it aims to nurture accessible, outdoor space for prayers, contemplation, rest and inspiration. The movement flows from the example of Jesus' withdrawal to natural places to pray.
