About St Benet'S Church, Kentish Town
St Benet's - a loving Christian community at the heart of Kentish Town.
St Benet'S Church, Kentish Town Description
The Parish of Kentish Town covers the northern part of Kentish Town, between Kentish Town and Tuffnell Park underground stations.
Saint Benet's is our parish's church. We seek to be a welcoming and caring community, which serves Kentish Town by making known the love of Christ.
We are proud of the contribution Kentish Town Church of England Primary School makes to the formation and education of the children of our parish. We make great efforts to include and welcome the many children who worship with us on Sundays through our Sunday School.

Join us for Messy Church on Tuesday 21st May at 3.30 pm at Kentish Town CE Primary School. As we make our way through Eastertide, we turn our minds to the Ascension and Pentecost. Our activities will hep us explore the ways in which we can open our hearts to the gifts of God's Holy Spirit. We finish with a slap up tea at 4.30 pm.

Well done to our Key Stage 1 Sunday School this morning who learned all about Jesus the Good Shepherd, who laid down his life for his sheep. Next week, our older Key Stage 2 children will be interviewing members of our congregation about their journey of faith.
What a splendid confirmation class we had tonight at the National Gallery. Our confirmation candidates learned all about the life of Christ through the magnificent works of art in that treasury of beauty, which is our national collection. We were expertly led tonight by Edoardo Fanfani, and the evening finished with a lucullan feast at Pizza Express. Please pray for all those preparing for baptism and confirmation in our parish.
The Mass was offered at St Benet’s this morning for their Royal Highnesses the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, in thanksgiving for the safe birth of the Earl of Dumbarton.
Every Saturday evening, we celebrate a vigil mass of Sunday at our local nursing home, Ash Court. We then take communion to those who cannot leave their rooms. We are often joined by a range of people: residents; visitors; and people from St Benet’s. Here are those who came to Mass today. Please pray for the residents of Ash Court, and all who offer care, support, and friendship there.

The altar of repose is now ready for tonight’s liturgy. The Blessed Sacrament is taken in procession to a side altar bedecked with flowers, as if a garden. Remembering Jesus’ agony in the Garden of Gethsemane, Christians watch and pray with the Lord on the night he is betrayed.
