This Sunday's theme at St Catherine's: What are the benefits of knowing God?
This Saturday afternoon, St Catherine's will be at the Neasden Festival (Neasden Parade Shops, 12-4pm). We will be asking people what activities they would like to see happening in Neasden's new Community Centre, opening next year.
We fancy that we would like a life without uncertainty. But without uncertainty, we wouldn't need trust. And trust is the stuff of God!

If we live Jesus' death, we will die his resurrection. Happy Easter!
The week before Easter is a the time when we consider why Jesus planned his own death, and what he expected it to achieve. It is a point well worth pondering.
Becoming important is a natural desire for us humans. We like to be looked up to & respected. Jesus recommends an opposite strategy - that we make ourselves the willing servants of all the people around us. This - he suggests - is the route to real fulfilment. Happy Easter!

Normal life is amazing. Even our daily routines like cooking & washing up are amazing. We don't know of another creature in the universe that does anything like it. So next time you're doing something mundane and routine, pause to consider how amazing you actually are.

Later this year, St Catherine's will start building a new Community Hub for Neasden. Saturday 9th March we are holding a Community Consultation, asking local people and organisations what kind of Community Hub Neasden needs. All suggestions will be gratefully received. Come along and join the conversation.
One of the toughest things is to do what you know is needed, even though everyone around you will think you're an idiot. Welcome to Judas' world!

God doesn't choose the rich and powerful, nor those who are steeped in religion or highly educated. He has a special love for those who are weak and disadvantaged. If we want to see what God is doing, that's where we need to look.

It isn't just our strengths and skill that make us who are are. Our weaknesses are important too. Our weaknesses and our failures are what keep us humble, and lead us to share our work with others.
