We loved our stay here, would definitely recommend it for a stay and we will go back. Rooms were smart, clean & tidy and beds really really comfy. Staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. 3 nice bars/restaurants to choose from.. lovely food and even a pool xxx

User

We have recently returned home from a two night stay, 26th to 28th June. We arrived an hour or so earlier than the check in time but after a fuss free and speedy check in we were told that our room was already ready for us.

We had been upgraded and it was a delight to find a lovely card in our room wishing us a Happy Wedding Anniversary. Our room was small and cosy but adequate for the two of us and it was clean. We had a stunning view of The Shard from our window. Due to arriving in the recent heatwave we were worried that we would feel uncomfortable with the heat. We needn't of worried, we kept the window open which provided plenty of fresh air and there was a fan in the cupboard, in fact we both had two very comfortable nights sleep.

As expected whilst staying in a city centre hotel there was noise from traffic etc when the window was open but this can hardly be helped.

Breakfast the next morning was value for money with plenty of choice of hot and cold items.

We found all staff members to be friendly and helpful and the hotel was ideally located for exploring the city.

Many thanks for a lovely stay and we will definitely come back and stay again xxx

User

Stayed last weekend a group of 11 of us. From start to finish everything about the hotel was great. Location was perfect and the staff in the Hudson Restaurant could not have being nicer to us. Also the concierge team were all extremely helpful. Would definitely recommend to anyone going to London for a show as it's so close.

User

Stayed here last night to take part in London Winter Run today. Staff weee extremely pleasant and helpful. Room was great. Two rooms in fact with two TVs and a fridge. What more can you ask for on a Saturday night in central London for ยฃ105? I have booked again for August. Breakfast was great and included. So much choice. In my opinion some people are never happy unless they are moaning!

User

I booked the hotel with theatre tickets for my partners birthday. We both found the hotel to be of a height standard the staff were all courtious friendly and made us most welcome. The standard of food was excellent the room was very clean and bed very comfortable no complaints at all excerpt one room very small, good for one night but any longer no. All in all we thought our visit was first class.

User

Fantastic Hotel in the perfect location for Shopping, museums, shows and restaurants.

Only a 15 min walk to Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square and the Palace close by too.

The view from our room was fantastic, the room was well equipped and the bed very comfortable and nice modern bathroom that was very clean.

Staff were fantastic.

Would definatley stay here again.

User

Best service in town, we came late at night and had some problem with the booking trough the agency, but the receptionist fixed everything and was so calm and gentle.

The Hudson House bar/restaurant its a nice place for a beer or snack, my son loved the vanilla ice cream :)

The swiming pool and gym at YMCA was great, can enter it via the reception, do not have to go outside.

A nice hotel, we will be back for sure.

User

We stayed for just one night as we were going to see Phantom of the Opera.

The hotel was a great base for the theatre district, and Chinatown.

The room was clean and as expected for a city hotel. Just lost one star as our room wasnโ€™t ready in time. But no real problem as we checked our bag at the concierge desk and went for a walk.

The Hudson House bar was great. We had an early dinner / late lunch , and the service was excellent and the food was very good. The cocktails after the theatre were great too.

The VQ 24 hour bar/diner was a bit over priced , and wasnโ€™t too pleased at the 10% service charge for two coffees and two starters!

Breakfast was great, and the hot food was actually hot, not always the case on a buffet style dining room.

Plenty of choice and the coffee was pretty good too.

Overall very pleased with our stay and would definitely stay here again

User

The room was small but adequate for our stay ensuite was clean but the towels small. Ideally located just off Oxford street ideal for central London and all theatres as we were attending the Palladium. Food was good too, definitely stay there again.

User

The Hotel was part of Le Mis Theatre break. I cannot fault the staff. They were all very friendly. The room was small but clean, quiet and comfortable. Could have done with better pillows as they were far too puffed even with just one. It seemed to take until the end of time waiting for the lift to get to our floor. Our breakfast was included and was nice although i was personally dissapointed that there were no fried eggs or mushrooms, only scrambled eggs. Having said all that the Hotel was in an ideal location and only a few minutes walk to the Queens Theatre where we enjoyed Le Mis very much. We would stay there again .

User

Stayed there for a theatre trip . Rooms where lovely. Clean and well kept . Staff were brilliant helpful and friendly. Had tea coffee making facilities in the room . Eat in the dinner in the restaurant pre theatre menu that was value for money too and taste good too . Breakfast was included and that was amazing everything you could wish for in a breakfast buffet. Would definitely go back ๐Ÿ˜Šโœ”๏ธ

User

Solo travelling, checked in for 1 night. They couldn't locate my booking (via Expedia!!!), got that sorted, then no power in my room for coffee making & iPad recharging. Necessities! So, a room change was arranged and all went well from then on. Yes, a tiny single but cozy and the bed was comfy++. The buffet breakfast was plentiful and varied.

User

My partner and I stayed here February 18th - 24th on a bit of a belated honeymoon. We are from Canada and had not been in London before and used the St. Giles' central location to explore London and the Soho area specifically, we saw a few shows at the nearby theaters while we were in the city as well. Location is central and easy to get to from the Tottenham Court Road Station.

The hotel staff were excellent and upgraded our room, free of charge. Check in was easy and the concierges were stellar and easily answered all of our questions. Our room was small but for the price and location it was perfect. Bathrooms were nice, bed was comfortable, and the room was clean and regularly made up. We had no complaints about the hotel and it met our needs admirably. We are planning on returning again in the future!

User

Checked in and went to our room which was tiny, it hadn't been cleaned so I phoned to complain and got upgraded to an executive suite which was a lot bigger with a great view, superb bathroom with very good shower, the noise was minimal and I had a good night's sleep although the bed was firmer than I'm used too.

Upon leaving I checked I hadn't left anything and found a Bra under one of the chairs.

I think what I'm saying is it's a decent place but the cleaning isn't great

User

Nice, warm room with comfy beds. Small, particularly the bathroom ,but, apart from sleeping there, we were in the room only for about an hour, turning round from a day shopping to getting ready to go to the theatre. Our sleep wasnโ€™t good due to inconsiderate guests chatting outside the room at all hours and from noise outside as pubs/clubs turned out. However, the latter is due to the position of the hotel - incredibly central and perfectly located for theatre land and some good shopping on Oxford Street - you canโ€™t have it all. Breakfast was great, plenty to chose from and plenty of room in the restaurant to sit. Weโ€™ll be back :)

User

Location wise this hotel is fantastic but that's where it ends. room is small, blind in room didn't work, lifts are dangerous and closed on top of me. cleaners knocking on doors at half 8 in the morning. No sound proof in room. Shower basin took ages to drain and had to turn shower off for a while to stop place flooding. The fire alarm went off at 1.30am we evacuated hotel there was no communication from hotel staff we we're all left standing outside for ages and got back in hotel to then be told we can't go back to the rooms yet. Shocking communication from staff, I'd hate to see what would happen if there was an actual fire there. breakfast is ok. Overall very poor standard hotel

User

Where can I start, me and my partner came here for the night. The room was tiny for the amount of money it cost me for the room (this doesn't include breakfast by the way) I had the worst night sleep I could of imagined, with a rock hard bed. The room was extremely hot, however if you was to open the window all you could hear was party goers on the ground floor. The drinks and food are ridiculously over priced and I was woken at 7:40am by the cleaners having a full conversation outside my door at the top of their voices. All night I could hear my neighbours as the walls are so thin, I could also hear the noise of the elevator all night as people went in and out, as you can imagine this really got me angry.

If you can avoid staying here please do! It's not worth the price and the staff have no respect. I won't be staying here again.

User

Stayed 20th Jan before seeing a west end show. Have stayed before and liked the location and hotel on a whole. Can safely say will not be staying here again.

We had a deluxe room, checked in fine, went for dinner and then theatre, upon returning we discovered used sanitary towels in the bathroom bin and black hairs in the bed.

Took a walk down to reception who told us they would upgrade us to an executive room and add us to the executive list for free breakfast. We got up to our new room to find it smaller than the original (a lot cleaner though). Then at 01.30am the fire alarm went off, woke both me and my partner up, we both got dressed and went to exit the room, then the fire alarm stopped. (We later found out this was a false alarm and someone had set it off by accident). To top it all off, housekeeping woke us up at 9am, knocking on the door and then entering straight away before we could even speak.

Overall a horrible stay at a hotel that has been good in the past. Will have to find a new place to stay for future theatre trips.

User

Last week I was on vacation in London and I stayed at this hotel. The rooms are claustrophobic and the hall smells weird. But this is not the worst. On my third day at the hotel, while waiting to take the lift (which by the way takes a lot), a girl (staying at the hotel, alone without her parents) violently opened an emergency door (which opens outwards) hitting me head. It is necessary to emphasize, that the door by the part in that I was not counted on any type of signaling. Due to the hit my right eyebrow split, the ambulance had to come and I had to go to the hospital. As I could walk, they told me that the ambulance did not take me to the hospital therefore I should take a taxi or walk. The hotel did not want to take responsibility for anything (although the accident was at their hotel, with one of its doors badly marked and because of an unguarded girl housed in it). We called a taxi to go to the hospital, and the hotel did not even pay the taxi. Once in the hospital (and after waiting 4 hours) they put 7 points in my eyebrow.

I do not intend to return to this hotel anymore, not for the money, but for the lack of compassion and help. Thanks to your hotel, my holidays were ruined and also the next week due to I have to go several times to remove the stitches due to the length of the cut. I still do not know how the wound will remain but I will have a scar forever to remember me the bad choice I did booking this hotel. I am doing this review to avoid anyone to suffer the same I did.
