Spring has almost sprung: this weekend is probably the last weekend we will be able to see the church through the trees 🌳🌳🌳🌳🌳

Poetry in the Crypt is back on April 13!
On Saturday, April 13, at 7 pm, all are warmly invited to hear three outstanding poets: John Clegg (Cambridge), Sasha Dugdale (Kent), and Geraldine Paine (Kent). Admission £5. ALL proceeds to Hospice Care Kenya, our designated charity since 2010. Free cake & coffee. More details on flyers at the back of church.

This is why we are all covered up at the moment. We are open every day at 9.30am for Morning Prayer and for church visitors from 10am - 4pm

Palm crosses from previous years have been burnt to create the ash for tomorrow’s Ash Wednesday service.
Join us at 7.30pm on Wednesday 6 March for a service of Holy Communion with the imposition of ashes.

On Sunday 6 January, St Mary's says goodbye to Simon and Jo Harvey. All are welcome to join us at this service of Holy Communion and to the bring-and-share lunch* which follows.
Simon will be licensed as the Vicar of Bury St Edmunds, St Mary with St Peter, on 4 February 2019
*Finger-food makes it easier to share!

Service for the whole family. Join together to celebrate what Christmas is really all about. You'll be home before noon - plenty of time to peel the vegetables or hunt down Islington's last jar of cranberry sauce.

When the streets fall silent, the buses stop running and London is all still, join us to worship in the first communion of Christmas. Celebrate a saviour born to bring hope and peace.

Bring your small shepherds, angels and wise men and women to this hilarious re-telling of the Christmas story. Come in costumes and fill St Mary's with laughter, song and the joy of Christmas.

We'll be singing the best-loved carols and filling the church with little flames when we put together our famous do-it-yourself Christingle kits during the service.

St Mary's biggest service of the year. With hundreds of candles, the best-loved carols and our fabulous classical choir, it's the perfect way to hear the Christmas story through scripture readings and song.

my daughter attended midnight mass and got great comfort from being there. Her brother my son lay dying in the London that day and died on Xmas day age 34

We lived in Robinson Court. The Flats next to church, although I wasn't a member of your community we did go to Weddings there. I Loved to hear the bells ringing on Sundays. great Church.

Thank-you for making me feel so welcome on Sunday 7th September at the 11 am communion service. It was lovely to take part and share in worship with you all! I enjoyed the mix of music (traditional and modern), the bible-focussed talk and the warmth and friendliness of the congregation. Special thanks to Helen, Angie, Christine and the ladies serving refreshments! Hope to see you all again when I next visit the capital, and get to know more of you! St Mary's is the church of all churches , congregation are very welcoming to new people, we all chip in to help at events all year round, Simon our vicar is very laid back and is very approachable socially.

Loved visiting London...people were very kind. Hello from the USA.

It was a truly warm, welcoming, compassionate, spiritual place!

I went to Simon and Jo's wedding. It was a very special day that they shared beautifully with everyone. Simon is the vicar and just like the members of his congregation, made everyone feel warmly welcome. This was my first visit and will not be my last. ���

Beautiful service & a warm welcome the students of Italia Conti simply heartwarming a credit to everyone involved. LOVED IT.
