We are a vibrant, diverse, inclusive Anglican parish in the heart of Lewisham. Come and join us for mass, every Sunday at 10 am! (With a Children's and Youth Church)
Through the week:
Morning Prayer 8. 30 am, Tuesday to Friday
Evening prayer 5. 30 pm, Tuesday to Friday.
Masses at 9. 30 am Thursday and Saturday

St Mary the Virgin is the ancient parish of Lewisham, and there has been a church on the site for over 1, 000 years. The buildings and grounds are full of historic and significant monuments and memorials, but they are also home to a vibrant and worshipping community which has a focus on engaging with and serving local communities across Lewisham.
The church celebrates all that is good about Lewisham; the place and the people.
Our Renewal programme is breathing new life into our buildings, interest in our shared history and mission by inspiring local people to participate together in our common life.

Beautiful walking through Kent to Rochester cathedral. Acres of newly planted vineyards – must return to enjoy produce in a few years. Valrick started late but found us – by a miracle, thanks to Our Lady! Welcomed at Rochester cathedral by Canon Rachel. Much to give thanks for.
St Mary’s pilgrims grow in number. Now out of London and into Kent. Another blessed day – 11 miles and fighting through fields of crops taller than us. End of Day 3 at Sole (Soul?) Street Blessings and thanks
St Mary's Pilgrims left after Sunday mass, to walk out of Lewisham along the Old Dover road to Bexley. A sense that we've now left London. Gentle rain to cool us in Oxleas Wood.

Alpha finished last night - an amazing journey over the last 8 weeks learning more about life, faith, and each other. Couldn’t end without posting a pic of our youngest member who kept us all entertained!
