Thank you to clergy and the PCC

As we welcome this wonderful news that Fr Matthew Duckett will be our new Priest, let us not forget the Priests and our PCC who have kept St Matthias going without a Priest for 3years. So I would like to thank our PCC for being focused and united throughout this time. To the clergy who have come to our aid on Sundays, so bear with me while I thank, Fr Stefan Chrysostomou, Fr Adrian Teare, Fr Meymans Sala, Fr Martin Poole,Fr John Wainwright, Fr Tony Halton Trevor Alexander ou...r lay reader and Fr Simon Atkinson who has keep us all together this past year when things when things have been difficult.
I offer a pray for all Priest Gracious and loving God, we thank you for the gift of our priests. Through them, we experience your presence in the sacraments.
Help our priests to be strong in their vocation. Set their souls on fire with love for your people.
Grant them the wisdom, understanding, and strength they need to follow in the footsteps of Jesus. Inspire them with the vision of your Kingdom.
Give them the words they need to spread the Gospel. Allow them to experience joy in their ministry.
Help them to become instruments of your divine grace.
We ask this through Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns as our Eternal Priest.
So as our journey continues thank you for you love and support and we look forward to welcoming you all to Fr Matthew ‘s licensing on 11th December

I am delighted to let you know that Fr Matthew Duckett SMMS, currently Priest in Charge of St Peter Le Peor in the West Haringey Deanery, has accepted my invitation to become the Interim Priest in Charge of St Matthias Colindale. Fr Matthew is a creative and hardworking priest, formed within the Catholic tradition of the Church of England, who brings with him experience of serving a Curacy with +Philip North in Camden Town, followed ...by his ministry in Friern Barnet for the past five years. Fr Matthew’s licensing will take place on Tuesday 11th December 2018. Please keep Fr Matthew in your prayers as he prepares to move, and please keep Fr Simon also in your prayers, as he continues, alongside our lay team, to offer a priestly ministry during the extended vacancy.
