Stephen Potts and team were invited to conduct a very special service with the residents at the care home on Wednesday 19th December. We sang a variety of Christmas carols and listened to a message on how Jesus is the light of the world.
For all of us this world can sometimes be a dark place to be. But Jesus came to bring light into the darkness and the darkness can not overcome the light.
... It was heartwarming to see the residents, so frail and old smile and sing the carols, some unable to walk, some unable to see... but yet, the story of Jesus’ birth and the meaning behind the orange and the candles brought a sparkle to their faces.
How blessed we felt to be part of that day.

Christmas tree lights were turned on at Chigwell tonight.. and a joint parish choir was there to sing carols.. such an awesome community feel.

Chigwell Christmas lights are being turned on tonight... come and join us to sing carols and bring on the Christmas cheer to our community... We meet at 5:45pm at the green adjacent to Chigwell station. Complimentary mulled wine and mince pies after..
