Wishing a Happy New Year to all our members, friends, teachers and comrades and looking forward to a spectacular year on the mats to come! Classes are back in full swing tonight so come down and see the New Year in the right way!

Had a terrific night of training on Monday, incredible effort from everyone and more than a little sweat on the mats! Our two newcomers made some fantastic progress, conquering no less than three judo throws and a ground control in just under two hours with zero prior experience! As always credit goes to our regulars who turn up to keep the club running, making a team run with constant dedication and effort! Looking forward to hitting the mats tonight!

What a treat Thursday night was! Superb effort from everyone on the mats, it's always fantastic to see each and every martial artist on the mats working hard and building up a sweat! Monday night's training will be going ahead as usual, kicking us back into gear after a lazy bank holiday weekend! Hope to see you there for more fun!

This is one of the most inclusive events you will come across, open to all ages, grades, experience levels, style and gender. Ladies and gentlemen, please remember that Saturday the 7th April is the Second Annual John Plumbridge Memorial Seminar! Those who attended last year will attest to what a fantastic day it was, with a fun attitude, some top tuition and some stories and memories of John Sensei whilst doing the art he loved and raising some money for a good cause! We will have sessions running from some truly fantastic instructors in a wide range of styles, giving everyone an opportunity to tr...y something new or surprise yourself with new knowledge from an art you already love. The seminar is 13:30-18:30 in the large sports hall at Staines Prep School with all adults welcome, regardless of age, sex, grade or experience. We had a fantastic night of training on Thursday thanks to our friends from Surrey Karate visiting and I think we all left with a lot to mull over for the weekend. Now let's start the week off right with an energised Monday session! See you all down on the mats!

Another night of fun is in store for tomorrow! Monday night kicked off the week with a night of solid syllabus, all of the techniques taken from red to green belt but with some more thorough analysis of movement to provoke thought. Thursday will be more of the same with a little more focus given to some fast, dynamic throws! On a more boring and clerical note can all members double check that their insurance is in date and drop me a private message or an email if not so we can sort out renewals asap! Looking forward to seeing you all on the mats for more fun tomorrow!

After a fast-pace night of dynamic technique on Monday I think we're ready for more of the same tonight! Focus on sharp, decisive movements trained with enough energy to keep us warm! I'm expecting some brilliantly fluid, accurate striking from our friends at Surrey Karate Academy who are joining us on the mats tonight. See you all on the mats!

Congratulations are in order for Dave who graded on Thursday night after only a day to recover from his birthday! Good to see he's only getting faster with every passing year! A grading thoroughly earned after a lot of work, now on to the next one! See you all on the mats!

Was looking to get back into the martial arts and tried lots of clubs but finally settled here after my first visit about a month ago. A welcoming group where techniques are broken down and discussed in depth. Does not focus on competitive attitudes but instructors do always point out the practicalities of individual techniques and combinations in real life situations. Offering a wealth of knowledge in many disciplines, the instructors create a fun but disciplined environment where students can learn and challenge themselves at their own pace. This club has the potential to offer new friends and maintain the interest of anyone looking to learn a new art and / or better themselves.

I have been training with the club for some years now. Great bunch of like minded guys and gals and knowledgeable instructors with an eye towards real world application. A not for profit club run by those with a passion for the art.

Great martial arts club with a great Instructor, very friendly approach.

Friendly and knowledgeable bunch of guys. If you're looking for a place to improve your technique, get back into it after a while or start fresh and you don't want to go full-contact MMA this is the place for you. Good old traditional Ju Jutsu with a great approach and a friendly and funny banter. Looking forward to every session.
