Sometimes it is not easy to ask for help. That's why stem4 has produced a new leaflet entitled ‘Asking for help’ for teenagers who want advice on how to ask for help if they are concerned about a mental health problem.
The leaflet was designed in response to conversations stem4 has had with teenagers in local schools. We hope it will help teenagers and those transitioning to college or university know that they can ask for help and if appropriate make an appointment with thei...r GP/doctor.

We would like to invite you to the Schmidt Wimbledon Charity Ball in aid of stem4 in partnership with Diespeker & Co.
This year’s ball will be a black-tie event at the beautiful Richmond Hill Hotel. Single tickets will be £85 and tables of 10 will be £750. This will include bubbles on arrival, a 3-course meal with wine and entertainment.
There will be live and silent auctions, including a fully fitted kitchen and there will also be a raffle on the night.
... Money raised will be going towards our digital projects, such as our new anxiety app and our mental health video resources for schools.

Fantastic fundraising by Joel Walters who organised a 6-a-side football tournament last weekend in aid of stem4 ⚽😀
Almost 100 young people turned up to the tournament at Powerleague in Mill Hill to support the event, including a friend of Joel’s who recently lost his brother. stem4 was suggested to Joel as a worthy charity especially as this charity aims to stem commonly occurring mental health issues at an early stage. Joel was really pleased that John Krause from stem4 came... to support the event and speak to everyone.
Joel managed to raise almost £2,000. It was a nail-biting tournament with 12 teams competing. The trophy went to winners from Highgate School - the team ‘Highgate 2’ and runners-up from the JCoss team ‘Untold Scenes’.
Joel was inspired to run this tournament after chatting with his teacher about the issues of mental health in young people and how important it was to raise awareness.

stem4 has recently launched a library of digital mental health videos to use in PSHE lessons or tutor time on topics such as resilience, stress, anxiety, perfectionism and depression.
We would like to invite secondary schools to trial four of these videos free of charge during the Autumn term 2018. From the Spring term 2019 we will be setting up an annual membership scheme for schools to access ...educational videos and resources for a nominal fee.
Please contact education@stem4.org.uk if you would like your school to be a part of the free trial. As a thank you to schools that take part in the trial, we will be offering free membership for a year.
Please pass onto anyone you know involved in teaching secondary school children.
