Winter League Round #7 - Impact of course closure Gentlemen
There is a clear rule in the competition handbook detailing what happens if play is lost due to bad weather.
... Rule 19 : In the event of bad weather forcing the cancellation of one days play over a weekend, the results for the day where play was possible will count and prizes will be paid but the scores (places 1 to 20) will not count toward the main competition
So, if the course is open tomorrow (03/02) points will not be awarded towards the main competition but prize vouchers will still be awarded for the day's best scores.
This means the best 5 scores from just 7 rounds will now count towards the qualifying scores for 2018-19 finals.
For info, Rule 20 states that if two rounds are lost, the number of scores counting towards the final qualifiers is reduced from 5 to 4.

Course OPEN today. BUGGIES are allowed, but due to conditions there will be 5 temp greens.

Thirty nine Visitors & Members entered the 3rd round of the Tuesday Winter Open Rollup Series played in cold but generally excellent winter conditions.
Two visitors led the way tieing on 39 points, Brian Cox from Nene Park GC just shading the back 9 countback from Robert Brown of Scraptoft GC. In 3rd place with 37 points again after a back 9 countback was Greg Ewart of SRGC.

Really nice course and club house, tricky greens but had loads of fun looking forward to going again. The food was good too

Quality course, great staff in clubhouse and shop, nice to meet Angus who apparently designed my home course! Loved it as always.

Played yesterday for the first time, really enjoyed it. Was in great condition look forward to playing again now I know where to hit it on a few blind tee shots. Well worth the £15 I paid.

Played the course yesterday for the first time. Excellent condition and clubhouse very welcoming.

Played here last Friday with seven other members of Uttoxeter Golf Club and had a wonderful time on a great course. We were made very welcome by the Professional and bar staff. Would highly recommend!

Paid for a winter silver midweek package (£25.00 ). This was a round on the course + a full English breakfast. The breakfast was as good as I've eaten anywhere while the golf course was a lovely parkland course with great views and in fantastic condition. We will definately be back again

Had a great day playing 36 holes today always like coming to play here the course was in fantastic condition had a nice Curry afterwards and the real ale is kept well

Couldn't believe what was waiting for us given that you literally fall off the motorway into the club car park! Once around the club house and onto the course the views are beautiful. Great course brilliantly kept. Not a flat green in sight and they were quick but true and in super condition. Team friendly and very helpful. Definitely a course to visit more than once

A very friendly golf club - from my first phone call to book tee times to the bar staff and green staff everyone was just lovely! The course was -hilly !! Which coming from flat Lincolnshire was an experience and offered new challenges ! My husband and l played 2 days running and thoroughly enjoyed the course... we hope to return in 2017!!
