About Stortford Gymnastics
Stortford Gymnastics is a Gymnastics Club located in Bishops Stortford for children up to the age of 12 years old. It is run by Janine Peart and Karen Perkins
Stortford Gymnastics Description
Stortford Gymnastics is a family-run, friendly club where you will always feel welcome.
The club is for children up to 11 years old and welcomes all abilities. We believe every child can gain from learning fundamental movement skills, improving their body awareness and ultimately their confidence.
Stortford Gymnastics is run by 2 sisters, Karen Perkins and Janine Peart who both started gymnastics at the age of 7 and have never got the sport out of their system. Having their own club is like a dream come true! They cannot wait to get into the gym - teaching the children gymnastics and instilling confidence in them to succeed. Janine says “Gymnastics has been the making of us and we really believe it can be the making of your children too”
The club is registered with British Gymnastics and follows the British Gymnastics Award Scheme where children work their way through from Award 8 to Award 1. Once they have achieved Award 1 they can move onto the Advanced Proficiency Awards which start on Bronze and then moves on to Silver and Gold Awards.
The gym is fully equipped with a 7. 5 metre squared floor area, a beam, parallel bars and a bouncy tumble track.
The reception area is spacious and comfortable and is partitioned from the gym by a large glass window which is ideal for allowing parents to watch their children’s progress whilst enjoying a coffee and chatting with other parents.

Dear Customers. We have just been notified that Twyford Estate entrance (in front of the gym) will be closed next Tues (28th) to Thurs (30th May) due to major road repairs. As a result on these days there will be NO ACCESS either by car or on foot AT THE TRAFFIC LIGHT ENTRANCE. In addition THERE WILL BE NO ACCESS TO OUR CAR PARK AT ALL.
We have sent an email to all customers affected to provide advanced warning of this. It is obviously an inconvenience, however, the work is a... necessity, as the potholes at the moment are extremely dangerous.

Date: Wednesday 5 June until Wednesday 17 July... Time: 11.05-11.50 Age: From walking until 7 years old Cost: £58.80 for 7 weeks
What is it? Caring Cubs (SEN) in partnership with SPACE This class is intended for children with SEN needs (children with undiagnosed needs welcome ). It is a 45-minute session where adults and child come into the gym together.

Another fabulous Stortford Gymnast has achieved Gymnast of the Month status for the month of April. Loyal, committed with great will and determination. This young lady has flourished and grown into a lovely gymnast and continues to improve and gain new skills. A big well done and congratulations 🏆 🏅 👏🏻 👍🙂
⭐️⭐️We are pleased to announce the opening of our new Trampolining Club 🤸♀️🤸♂️at Herts and Essex High School's new Sports Centre (Beldam’s Lane, CM23 5LA)⭐️⭐️
Classes will be starting on Monday 9th September at 4pm, 5pm and 6pm for children aged 6+.
Cost of these classes is £37.50 per month and classes will run throughout the year with the exception of Christmas, Easter and Bank Holidays

Courageous Cats (Parent/Carer & Toddler 18 months - 3 years) Friday's 10.15-11am... To register please use the following link: https://www.stortfordgymnastics.com/join- waiting-list
This is a 45-minute session where adults and child come into the gym together. There will be at least one qualified coach who will introduce the group with songs and a warm-up encouraging the use of hand apparatus such as bean bags, quoits and pom poms to help develop fine motor skills. For much of the lesson, the children are free to explore the main apparatus in the gym under your supervision. Ideas will be provided by the qualified coach to help your child develop their gross motor skills further. The session will finish as a group with familiar nursery rhymes.

Back on again, Stortford Gymnastics Club, in partnership with SPACE and Grove Cottage, are pleased to announce the creation of 'Caring Cubs', a SEN exclusive gymnastics group for children 7 years and under with SEND, or on the diagnostic pathway.
