What a week, and what a day! Our opening today was absolutely amazing, we couldn’t have asked for more! 😊 THANK YOU so much to everyone who came and made it such a wonderful day! 🎊🎉
Here’s a few photos we took throughout the day, there was such a great vibe, we had so much positive feedback from everyone about the new look. And it will only get better!
We will be closed tomorrow, but back open on Easter Monday from 10-4.

Over the last month we’ve been sharing on our IG stories (@strangeapparitionsshop) sneak peeks of a handful of the vintage toys that we have going out for our Grand Opening this Saturday! There are load of new bits to look forward to, here are a few of our favourites! 🤩

It’s finally here, CASTLE CLAYSKULL x STRANGE APPARITIONS!
It has long been said that what's best in life, is to have your heroes immortalised in ceramic stoneware… so we are beyond excited to reveal that we have teamed up with the phenomenal potter of CASTLE CLAYSKULL! Hand forged and fired in the clay mines of Lancashire, we’re proud to not only be the first ever official stockist of his mysterious wares, but to also have our very own SA exclusive colour variant mugs!
CAST...LE CLAYSKULL takes elements from vintage toys and reproduces them in stoneware clay, allowing him to combine and alter them in a way that isn’t possible with resin or vinyl. He reintroduces a handmade element to the finished sculptures, allowing the toys to bend their knees and elbows after 30 years. Glazes and stains are added to the stoneware clay before being set at 1200 degrees, some contain metal and rare earth elements, and some react to each other chemically, meaning that each sculpture is completely unique at a microscopic level. Long after we're gone, these will survive!
These limited pieces are made for retro fans, being a perfect addition to any vintage toy collectors home. As well as stocking a range of his sculptures, we are also incredibly excited to have our own SA exclusive colour variant of the iconic Muscle Mug! Whereas the standard version offers a tan skin with orange cuff and brown/blue mug, our exclusive variant edition features a blue skin, yellow cuff and black/gold mug!
The collection will be launching 10am at the Grand Opening of our new store at Baytree this Saturday the 20th April! All pieces are extremely limited, we’re stoked to have gotten our hands on these and will be offering them on a first come first served basis.

Get ready, our next big reveal is coming TONIGHT! 😱⚔️🗡

It’s a bitter sweet New Comic Book Day this week as it’s the last EVER one at the Lifestyle Centre. So many great memories and friends have been made there. We want to thank Pete for all of his help and letting us in. He didn’t know us, and still can’t believe he said yes when we told him we wanted to sell comic books from his building!
The Lifestyle Centre is not going anywhere though, they are still open and still serving delicious hot meals and drinks.
I will miss that b...eautiful floor a lot, it’s makes our pics look so much better 😂
And we also want to thank all of you who made the journey to the Lifestyle Centre, and helped to shape the shop into the friendly welcoming fun atmosphere it’s become 👊
So we’re closed now, you won’t see us until Saturday at 10am in our new shop at Baytree Garden Centre 🙌

🚨 ANNOUNCEMENT! 🚨 We have to Close the shop down one day earlier than scheduled, sorry to everyone who planned to come in on Wednesday. We need the extra day to make the new shop as good as it can be. So tomorrow (Tuesday 15th) will be the last ever day at the Spalding Lifestyle Centre. 😢 We will still be getting this weeks new comics, and we will message every subscriber just as usual to let you know what you have in, but you won’t be able to collect them until Saturday. 😕

Just a reminder that our current Pinchbeck shop will be open until Wednesday next week (the 17th) after which we will be moving to our new bigger premises at Baytree and reopening on the Saturday (20th) 📦🚗🏠

Just one week! Our last day is next Wednesday, it has been utterly fantastic though, so many great memories created at the Lifestyle Centre, but we’re sure to make 100’s more in the future 🙌

What a place. Great selection of stock, fantastic prices and a really welcoming friendly atmosphere.

Went to this cool comic book shop for the first time today. Great selection of new and old comics and some mega old skool action figures. I'll be back!

Went in today for a little look and was pleasantly surprised at the range that was available. I can't wait to see you guys grow and I hope to come again very soon. Great thing is, if you have something in mind that you want that's not available, just ask and they can look in to obtaining it :) great staff and very excited to see how this goes. My little girl already loves it purely for the fact they had Mario collectables and dragonball (an already avid collector)hehe.

Man I'm stoked at being the first paying customer. Picked up a copy of Flash 46. The shop is very well stocked with a very wide range of stuff from comics for your average reader to some serious graphic novels for your serious collectors. There were plenty of other things like Star Wars figurines, a mahoosive Millennium Falcon, Deadpool collectables, badges, patches and keys rings etc etc. Not many Indie shops like this in the area.
