Stronghold is a bouldering wall that was built by keen climbing practitioners who wanted to deliver something great to the bouldering community.
The idea behind Stronghold is to deliver a premium and purpose built bouldering experience where everything has been thoroughly thought out before building. The wall is the foundation of the business, and plenty of time, heated discussion and design went into its planning. But that’s just the start. The wall is the magnet that will attract climbers and those making their first steps into climbing, but we want everyone to have an experience - everywhere and everything in our space has been thought out to present our customers with something better. We even settled on a location that’s easily accessible by a well-lit walk on a dark winter afternoon!
With sport climbing entering the Olympics in 2020 the training aspect of climbing is now being taken to new levels. Our training area has been designed in partnership with Jim Pope, local lad, GB Climbing Team Member, and National champion, to provide a space where keen ambitious climbers can push themselves as far as they wish to go. The area will serve as our commitment to the wider grassroots growth of bouldering.
The main wall is the first in London built by Walltopia who are a world leader in climbing wall design and manufacture with over 2 million sq feet and 1500 projects under their belt across 50 countries. They truly are a world class wall manufacturer and perfectly in line with Stronghold’s vision of providing something spectacular and versatile for local and visiting climbers.
In addition to the wall we felt there was also scope to fit a gym room with equipment and free weights for training and space for stretching. This will be a nice addition to the space as we grow the community around the building and facilities that help climbers to be the best they can be in fitness and flexibility.
As a 14, 800 sq ft. indoor and 8, 000 sq ft. covered outdoor space, we can fit a lot in and we have big plans to grow. We will be holding climbing events, throwing parties and hosting local schools as well as plenty of other activities through a packed calendar. We went with friends and a gang of our kids and had the best time ever! I'd never tried bouldering before, I went for my daughter's sake but found that I loved it and can't wait to do more of it. Really lovely people and great you can hire the shoes..We can't wait to hear about plans for future kid's activities and after school clubs, what a great place! I am delighted to have it on our doorstep.

The improvers' session I did with Dan was great - could really feel the difference on my next climb. Recommended if there's a particular problem you're struggling with (and it's free too!)

Really nice place. Lovely staff and nice hire shoes! Loads of routes. Currently the lower level routes are set VB, V0-V1 then V1-V3 - which felt a bit of a jump for the developing climber - would have appreciated a V1-V2 set then a V2-V3 personally - but that said there was still tonnes to climb and I will be going back 👍🏻
Really cool space within 5 minutes walk of Tottenham Hale station. Exceptional range of different climbs of varying difficulties and styles which kept me interested for a good few hours. Friendly staff provided great advice to make sure I got the most out of my experience. I will definitely become a regular here.

My daughter and I tried bouldering today, for the first time, and LOVED it! The induction we had with Dan was so thorough. He was incredibly patient and helpful.
The staff are excellent, they're enthusiastic, knowledgeable and welcoming.
The facilities are clean, the environment is safe and the walls present newbies with a great introduction to climbing.

Its so much fun.... the new pinks runs are awesome. I've been every weekend since it opened.
I'm a regular around various London climbing gyms and this place just blew me away. By far the best. Route setting is interesting, difficulty is spot on, nice and spacious, and plenty to keep one busy. Downsides, I don't live right next door.
I really enjoy it today my brother Derrick who’s a member invited me along for his birthday treat and I want to come back again with my husband next time

Great, big center with a lot to climb and training areas + good facilities for families. The nice, good size children area upstairs, the outside space and also a little corner with toys and books keep kids busy preventing them from running around where adults are climbing
, big cafe area (best soy latte I had at any climbing center and amazing brownie), good customer service, price in line with other center. Only downside to out visit yesterday it was a bit too warm, but I think that's unavoidable, the UK isn't exactly built with 30° summers in mind, and it's the same at every climbing wall anyway.
Great routesetting, lovely staff, reasonably priced(especially long term membership), great cafe and chilled, welcoming vibe. Perhaps most importantly for those of us with busy lives, the opening hours are fantastic. So pleased to have this place on my doorstep, fantastic addition to the neighbourhood.

Great centre, quite big and a good range of routes. It's a bit of a step up between the easy and hard routes but it just serves to push you more.

First visit and I'm smitten... love what they've done with the place. Great shaped walls, top out boulders, training areas, facilities and really enjoyable, thoughtful and technical setting right through the grades. Thumbs up guys keep up the good work.
Fantastic place! A superb find! We had an excellent induction lesson followed by great fun and lots of challenging climbs! Very friendly staff and a lovely café and chill area.

Fantastic bouldering, great friendly staff. Just 2 minutes walk from the train station.
Booked the family induction session for 2 adults and 5 & 9 year olds. Shoes & chalk were supplied. Dan took us through a warm up and the safety information and then got the kids started on the kids bouldering wall. He was very patient. Then we all got to have a go in the main room. Dan provided plenty of guidance and then we spend another hour and half bouldering on our own. It was fantastic! Plenty of room for us to have lots of goes. When we finished, the cafe had delicious cakes & drinks. The kids cannot wait to return and neither can I. Great fun activity to do as a family and for fitness! Parking is limited so that could be a problem on busy days.
A quality venue at a better price than others. A Great circuit board and plenty of variety in style and difficulty of problems. How about foot rails on the campus board for feet on gimme Kraft style exercises and power endurance?
