The shop is back open this sunny Friday and will be open all day Saturday between 10-4pm. We have lots of lovely stock including a whole section of Stag Minstrel furniture- ideal for upcycling!

Thanks to everyone who donates to us, this week we were able to furnish a new property for a homeless family with two small kids.
We delivered 1 x double bed, 1 x single bed, 1 x cotbed, 2 x bedside tables, 2 x chest of drawers, 1 x wardrobe, 1 x fridge freezer and a microwave and kettle as well as a highchair and stairgate.
All your donations makes a real difference to local families whether they are in our shop or used for our referrals.

Anyone need a chest of drawers or some dining chairs? We have lots in stock this week.

We love it when old items of furniture bought from us get given a new lease of life. Check out this upcycled desk which we delivered last week. It looks so much better now!

One of my favourite sofas we have had in for a little while; it’s John Lewis and in the shop for £100. Also a lovely pitch pine painted trunk for £95. All these and lots more available in the shop today and tomorrow.

Tim did an assembly at Sapperton Primary School a few weeks back as they wanted to raise funds for us and this was the best way we could think for them to understand what we did.
We started with the question “how does ‘home’ make you feel?” The answers were positive and gave a real sense that these children felt safe and secure in their home.
The children then took it in turns to fill the shell of the house with furniture that they thought were important to make a house a h...ome.
Tim then encouraged the children on their fundraising effort which is believed to be a cake sale primarily.

As many of you will know one of our aims is to help ensure no reusable items of furniture end up in landfill. Today we have been looking at the carbon savings this helps to achieve.
For example reusing a bed and mattress helps save 114.09kg of carbon being released which equates to 5.696 trees absorbing CO2 in one day.
Everytime you donate furniture and we find it a new home, together we are doing a small bit to help our world.
