During the workshop participants will learn the basics of ‘The Colour of Hair’ printing technique, an innovative process that Fabio Hendry from @studio_ilio has developed alongside with @martijn_rigters
... You will be able to apply the ‘The Colour of Hair’ printing technique, which transforms human hair into a printing medium, to various display plates and tiles made from aluminium. The printing process is based on the hair's main protein, keratin, to be liquefied and carbonised by the use of heat.

... Fabio Hendry introduced students to the ‘Hot Wire Extension’ process, exploring new methods in industrial production by transforming line structures into solid bodies. This innovative manufacturing process reuses the leftover plastic from SLS 3D printing, a waste nylon powder that is currently not recycled. The pliable and transient powder bonds together seamlessly to form an organic, bone-like structure. .
All products are sold with royalties going to a cause of the students choice.
