Subulus Salaam started as a Muslim community group in 2012 and was officially registered as a charity in 2016 (Reg No: 1168638).

The aim of the organisation is to support vulnerable Muslims within London, as the majority of Muslim charities are focused on providing aid abroad.

Our vision is to raise awareness about the Zakat institution and its implementation across London in order to alleviate poverty on our doorstep and to respond to emergencies.

We are inspired by the Qur’an, the Sunnah and by the teachings of the scholars of Fiqh (Islamic Jurisprudence).

We work by identifying needy Muslim households within the London area through an effective application and screening process. We distribute Zakat el Fitr; in the form of staple foods at the end of the month of Ramadhan, and Zakat el Maal during the winter period.

We are an entirely volunteer led charity, and we keep our project costs to an absolute minimum. We are Muslims from London committed to tackling poverty on our doorstep.
